I replaced the striker with an Apex, though I never had a problem with the original. |
This store lived close to you?

My source would be grocery store shelves whenever it's supposed to snow. I mean, maybe you are preparing for a nuclear bomb, in which case good luck! |

When we lived in Hollywood Hills the plan was to have two enduro bikes and backpacks with the necessary things to get out of the LA area in case of massive earthquake or a dirty bomb, etc.
In Santa Monica it was similar but with a Zodiac type inflatable (much easier to escape by sea than through the freeway system) Now in the suburbs elsewhere in CA, it's not as much for me about guns riots etc, it's earthquakes, blackouts, and fires. So, water and food, a generator, but also simple backpack with water and MREs and the small stuff. Mountainbikes. A camper. |
Closet full to the top with toilet paper

The smartest thing to have on hand is fishing supplies. You can always feed yourself from a river/lake/pond. Thinking you're going to go out and harvest meat is insane. If you kill a deer you're going to eat for a couple days and then you have a pile of rotting meat.
and having gold and silver is ****ing stupid. In a true survival mode who in the hell is going to give you food for a silver coin. |
