Well good news this far is hospitalization rates are still way down with this variant. There was a study (meta ofc) showed that hospitalization with this variant was 80% less than even Delta.

Let hope that news is true and can be replicated in more hard data.

The problem is.. there is no data to support the idea that ANY measure you take at this point is going to slow the spread of Omicron. You are just pissing in the wind to make yourself "feel" in control. (not "YOU" in particular but it sounds pretentious to say "oneself")

Boosted people aren't getting sick at all, and if you check any hospital covid ward - it's 85-95% unvaxxed.

Yeah I never said anything about stopping the spread of Omicron. My point is that if hospitals stop filling, all the preventative measures that annoy all of us will stop.

In the reddest state or the bluest state - ultimately if the hospitals got stressed, measures were taken - if not by the state, then by the country or city. All the rest was just rhetoric on both sides.
