Where in any of my posts did I say that? Lol. Thanks in advance, bro.

I mean, is that not the implication?

We're in a thread about an MVP voter saying he won't vote for Rodgers because he's an asshole.

Here you mention "MSM propaganda":

Is this not a reference to the "immunization" scandal?

Then here you responded to an article posted basically saying that behind-the-scenes, Rodgers is a total dick:

And then claim that, 'after everything that's happened this year', you like him even more.

.. So what is it really?

Incredible read, wow... he's an even bigger chode than I thought

The hilarious part is the media that now rails against him were angry over that article. They always liked Rodgers because he was the urbane, slick QB and not one of those old country boy QBs. They liked having a QB that shared their culture.

The whole vaccine controversy was the sole turning point. Because most of the media are urbane and share the same viewpoints. And they assumed that Rodgers being from Cal would be vaccinated for sure. Turns out, he wasn't and worst of all, he lied to them about it.

Exactly right, step outside the orthodoxy and they'll turn on their heros like a pack of hyenas

Yup. The only one who has avoided it has been Brady. Supposedly, he supported Trump or something. He definitely has some shady characters around him. But he has won so many titles that the media can't mess with him. Plus, they spent so long building him up and I think Brady has dirt on all of them.

Rodgers doesn't have the titles and the pandemic became such a polarizing topic that folks like them went all in on that Rodgers simply had to be punished.

Guys like Cousins and Wentz not being vaccinated? No surprise there. But Rodgers?! And he misled us (though he was under no obligation to tell the media). Well, that simply won't do.

1. Who is Arkush?
2. Why should I care who he's voting for or why he won't vote for Rodgers?

Hub Arkush is a sports reporter for the Chicago station that carries the Bears games and he’s the Bears sideline reporter. He had a national profile thru his own weekly paper called Pro Football Weekly which had been around forever but mostly died when the Internet arrived. Up to this year he also had a very low-budget discussion panel show with all his Chicago Bears buddies like Dave Wannstedt and Dan Hampton. I think he lost his Rum Chata sponsorship (they funded it) and the TV show didnt air this year.

I actually had a few lunches with Hub back in the day at the Blackhawk restaurant in Wheeling and kept in touch over the years but last time we talked was over email a season ago. He’s a good guy who loves the NFL and really loves the Bears but he’s just wrong in this case. Sure, he can set whatever standard he wants to set for his vote but this is pretty lame.

I agree with Brandt. He should have his voting privileges taken away.

Even though I love Brandt, I respectfully disagree. I don't believe in groupthink when it comes to voting. I think all opinions should be heard. It's just like baseball's Hall of Fame voting with blank ballots. Those voters always are criticized and people want to take their ballot away but I respect their opinion that nobody on the ballot is Hall of Fame-worthy.

He was deceptive re his vax status, used horse de-wormer, and consulted with Joe Rogan for medical advice.

He’s a giant ****ing moron who thinks he’s smarter than us. Shocker that people don’t like him now.

Now I have to know.. what, specifically, happened this year that made you like Rodgers even more? Is it the fact that he powned the libs by refusing the COVID vax? The offseason drama about wanting out of GB? His marriage to Shailene Woodley?

I like the Shailene Woodley thing personally.

Assuming he’s not gay, I bet they bang a lot of hot chicks together.

I am fine with no groupthink but what does the writer's take have to do with on the field play?

Paul Zimmerman never voted for Stabler because Stabler slept with his woman. That was crude behavior but it had nothing to do with his play on the field.

Is Rodgers an arrogant jerk? It is very likely. But that shouldn't be why you don't vote for him.

He didn't tell the media. He doesn't have to tell them. They don't need to know. Now if he lied to his team that is different.

He definitely thinks he is smarter than the average bear. I don't particularly care for his demeanor.

Would you trade Carr for Rodgers?
