But the only openings we would potentially have are OC and QB coach, right?

I don’t think we want to experiment with that.

Yeah, no. I was just putting his history out there.

Although he’s never worked with LBs before, that I’m aware of, so this maybe another Greg Lewis thing where they’re trying to get him experience for a DC job here or somewhere else.

Or if we are bringing in a 3-4 DL coach, the OLB’s in a 3-4 are basically stand up DE’s. So he could be a LB coach.

I don’t buy the 3-4 shit for a second.

They literally just transitioned from a 3-4 to a 4-3 3 years ago and they’re going to do it again?

And that’s without even mentioning that they still have Spags.

We would basically be tossing Kaindoh and Danna out the window.

I’m good with a change at DL Coach. No position group on the team has seen less return on its investment than that one.

I’m encouraged by what we’ve seen from our secondary the last two years, despite having such an inconsistent pass rush. Plus, we’ve been really bad against the run for the majority of the last 4 years.

Josh Allen, the DE, reportedly loves this guy.

He drove through a Wendy's drive-thru drunk and naked? That makes me want to hire him even more!

I wish he was coming with.

Unless Spags is retiring that makes no sense

They're only late round picks. Danna I think could play OLB in the 3-4. I mean Hali was able to adjust so I'm sure he could make it work.

I don't see it happening either, though. Unless they've honestly determined it's the best move for Jones, Gay and Bolton and they want to maximize their abilities. Jones was way better in the 3-4 if we're being honest.

Clark quit, Okafor sucks and Chris Jones has been the same guy despite multiple DL coaches.

To his credit he found Danna who has been an excellent role player. Wharton was a damn nice find too. Shocking that the best DL on the team was acquired mid season.

This team needs a talent and youth injection on the DL in the worst way.

**** that.

Daly was paid a king to come here and has been handed elite talent at DE and DT and completely ****ed it up.

Nobody improved under him and you could argue everyone regressed.

So apparently Brendan Daly was also our Running Game Coordinator this year on top of the DL coach. Doubt we move on from the guy and instead just bump him over to one of the openings on the staff on either offense or defense.

Run defense coordinator.

Think about that for a second.

He's just another Patriot stooge, shouldn't be surprised I guess.

I actually love the 3-4 and never wanted to transition away to begin with.... but the biggest problem with a 3-4 transition is you'd be completely ****ed at the two most important positions - OLBs. You'd need to fist out some cash for adequate names otherwise I don't really see how you garner any pressure with the current group. It doesn't make sense to transition back to a 3-4 right now if I'm being honest. You're just adding more to the problem.
