Go for a spell doing fairly competent shit, amazing at moments, then a period of shifting into neutral, then a spurt of cataclysmic brain-farts.

I find it psychologically fascinating, to see a QB who is CAPABLE of doing great things, and then they turn around and seemingly CHOOSE to do incomprehensibly reeruned things.

It's patently untrue that Wentz or Cousins CAN'T perform at an elite level. . . The mystery is whether and when they will, . . or alternatively how long they won't.

This is an insult to Kirk Cousins.

The Colts WISH they got Kirk Cousins in that trade.

The problem with Cousins is he won’t go out there and win you games. The problem with Wentz is that he won’t either, and there’s a good chance he’ll lose a few for you too.

Honestly think it's a low price to pay. Low risk, medium reward. Probably not a franchise QB with the goal of being average

I'm considerably less enamored of Cousins than you, apparently. They look nearly fungible to me with Cousins having better bacon-saving receivers.

LMAO their Super Bowl odds dropped after the trade.

FloridaMan88 03-09-2022 02:06 PM

The Commie/Redskins should just go all in on who they are and trade for Watson.

He sort of is. He’s not top tier, but he’s not complete trash either.

Wentz is awful. I’ve never seen a player be as bad as he was last season and still put up the numbers he did. That’s a testament to Franks coaching, imo. In the Colts 2 biggest wins last year, against Buffalo and New England, Wentz had 150 yards passing. For TWO games. Both of which they won.

No team will ever win anything with him at quarterback.

FloridaMan88 03-09-2022 02:13 PM

The Deadskins are about 10 years removed from having both RGIII and Kirk Cousins at QB.

And an offensive coaching staff that consisted of Sean McVay, Matt LaFleur, Kyle Shanahan, Mike McDaniel and Kevin O'Connell.

And now they are in QB purgatory.

Giving up all that draft picks for a declining quarterback is a stupid decision but Russell is a big upgrade over garbage Lock

How in the **** do you look at what he did with the Colts and determine that's the dude you want leading your team?

His numbers were better than Russel Wilsons last season.

at least they are trying

ROFL "trying" to finish 3rd in the leagues worst conference, maybe.

This smacks of when they benched Alex going into the playoffs because they didn't want him to **** around and actually win.

Who’s Indy going to roll with at QB?

Mitch Trubisky maybe? Although the Giants are interested in him as well.

Trubisky flames out in Chicago, sits all last year in Buffalo (other than playing in the preseason) and now suddenly he’s a hot commodity.

the rumor for the colts is Jimmy G. Who could be a nice fit to hand the ball to Taylor and do nothing stupid like Wentz type.

Guess if Trubisky actually looked good in practice and this is not some hype to create demand Daboll probably signs him.

How would you like to be a Cummanders fan and wake up in the morning knowing your qb situation? That's sad.
