Oh boy.

That was my one question: just how smart is Toney, and how quickly could he absorb the playbook? Sounds like he's pretty bright, football IQ, anyway.

He could have a real impact this season if this is true for the rest of the season.

Only curious now about just how reliable is he finding the soft spot in zones coverages. Something he seemed to have a bit of trouble with at NY. Hope he gets that figured out asap, then this offense will be unstoppable.

The good news is that, right now anyway, teams are playing a ton of man.

Toney is ugly.

Tyreek Hill is also very ugly.

I think this bodes well for Toney's future.

Oh yeah, I figure that's why we wanted him so bad. Right now, outside of Travis of course, Toney is far and away the best man-beater receiver on the team and he hasn't played a snap in red and gold. He's going to be a 1v1 nightmare for nearly any DB in the league. He's just filthy.

But if he figures out how to find the soft spot in zone consistently, he'll be an elite receiver in this league.

Well, as long as he keeps the drops to a minimum. Apparently had a little problem with that in college until his last season (0).

The other good news is that guys like Juju really are better against zone than man. Toney's presence could force more zone defense, which opens up things for the other guys.

He was a former QB... I'd expect him to have above average IQ. I'm getting the feeling they are NOT going to ease him in like they have been with Skyy.

This may be Veach’s best move since slamming his fist on the table, bugging the shit out of everyone until the Chiefs picked our football savior.

Seems to be quite chipper in his overall demeanor since being traded here. Hopefully that translates to doing the extra work required to make an immediate impact this season.

We won't be seeing him post on CP, that's for sure.

Not even close to minimums.
