The defensive backfield is a really well put together mix of players. From a leadership perspective, I think they felt Thornhill, Reid, and Sneed could get those young guys up to speed quick. I was surprised to hear all the chatter on The Franchise and other podcasts lately that have really talked up Thornhill’s growth and leadership back there. I thought he was a quiet, finesse guy.
It’s a very well rounded mix of guys both play-style and personality wise.
I’m equally optimistic and excited about the linebackers. Chenal seems to be coming on and getting lots more snaps.
Saunders and Jones are the only guys on the front that I feel good about. I have hopes for Karlaftis and you see some flashes. Really need some talent up here. |
