I'm just not sure this team is strictly a focus issue.
There are very real talent issues on the DL and a young secondary that I just don't think you can count on. And you don't have "**** it, Tyreek's down there somewhere" to bail you out either.
The ups and downs on this team are more a result of roster than in years past, IMO. Focused or not, I just don't think they have the requisite talent and/or experience to be a consistently championship caliber team.
Now that's not to say anyone else out there is appreciably better in that regard - but I think this is the least 'playoff ready' team we've had since '18. It can be focused and just...lose. Because it relies more on coaching/scheme than any team we've had in that era.

Yeah, I'm with you on this. The SB years, I fully expected us to make it to the SB. I would've been shocked if anyone in the AFC would've taken us out. Last year, I was worried about the Bills but figured we wouldn't lose to Cinci twice in the same season, so that was a little shocking. This year, I won't be shocked if we lose to either one of those teams. I'm not necessarily saying that we will, but instead of being THE team in the AFC come playoff time, we will be A team (of the caliber that can make the SB, with Cinci and Buff in that group) in the AFC.
Can we beat both Cinci and Buffalo? Sure. But it's not a no brainer in my mind like it was with whomever we played in 19 and 20. I mean, we're just not going to beat Josh Allen in the playoffs every year for the next 15 years. Conversely, we're not going to always lose to Joe Burrow. The problem is, the crossroads of both scenarios could play out even this year. We could beat the Bengals and then lose to the Bills. Again, I'm not saying we will, I won't be shocked if we make the SB. But I also won't be shocked (different than disappointed) if we lose in the Divisional Round.
