if "Chiefs" is an insult to native people and the arrowhead

I'd like to understand why

this seems like something white women came up with to show how woke they are

Because they hate the Chiefs more than all the Broncos, Raiders, Bengals and Bills fans combined.

Pushing this bullshit the day after a Super Bowl win? **** THEM. I hope the day they go out of business the building gets hit by a meteor so none of them make it out alive.

For the record, the Chiefs aren't named after American Indians...they are named after H. Roe Bartle, former KC mayor who was known as "Chief."

Harold Roe Bennett Sturdyvant Bartle (June 25, 1901 – May 9, 1974), better known as H. Roe Bartle, was an American businessman, philanthropist, executive, and professional public speaker who served two terms as mayor of Kansas City, Missouri. After Bartle helped lure the Dallas Texans American Football League team to Kansas City in 1962, owner Lamar Hunt renamed the franchise the Kansas City Chiefs after Bartle's nickname, The Chief.

I see no need to change the name. But too bad it sets off the opposite blatantly racist or homophobic response from some. Wish all this name change shit could be kept in DC.

People's lives aren't complete if they're not bitching about something. Eat a supersized $#!t sandwich, shut the **** up, and mind your own business.

I think the name is not offensive but it is bad and lame. I think a name change would be great but it is not a hill I really care to die on and watching people overreact to simply asking the question is always funny. Too bad Sacramento owns the trademark of the Kansas City Kings.

Speaking of “bad” and “lame”… “Sporting KC”?

Chiefs is 100 times better and with stronger brand equity than that weak soccer shit.

Oh are we back on this again?

One of the strongest rebrands in American sports. The team's worth, popularity, success...there is not a single metric that SKC did not exceed astonishingly by that name change.

If your big point is that an NFL team is a stronger brand than an MLS team that plays in a league that started in 1996 then...go on with those hot takes. :)
