Veach said in his presser that if they draft a LT they already know Taylor’s tape at RT. He’s paid the same amount aav as between the first and second highest paid RT. They wouldn’t be “moving Taylor to RT” they would be keeping him at the position he played in college and the pros.

What do you think that comment means, man?

Taylor likely can play LT and even play it at a high level possibly…but if they draft a LT, is no guarantee that Taylor plays LT.

I’d like it better trading up from 63 to get him, but I wouldn’t be mad if we took him at 31 and did that…but I bet Veach can slide down a few picks to a team wanting a QB at 31 and get another late third/early fourth in the trade back and still get an impact player in the early 2nd.

This draft is pretty strong from 20-45/50

Chiefs owned the draft last year and, literally, own it this year. Let's go!

Here's my one and only prediction. Not meant to be bold, just is what it is.

Chiefs will draft a couple guys early we aren't - for the most part - expecting. There'll be mixed reactions. But within a week, there'll be lots of posts talking about how we should've expected it all along, how it makes so much sense, fits Veach's MO, etc.

I'm not saying they'd be homer takes either. I just think during draft season we tend to forget about what we know of the team and fall in line with the groupthink stuff. There are probably a good handful of guys routinely mocked to KC that Veach wouldn't even consider drafting.
