Toney’s 2nd year would have been the 2022 season, unless you’re not counting his rookie year with the Giants, I took him out of consideration. Anyway, I voted for Skyy, he actually had a pretty good year with limited targets and it’s only going to get better for him in my opinion.

Furious George

With all the rookies we had, SOMEONE is due for a sophomore slump as well.

My money would be on one of the corners, probably J Wat or Josh Williams.

Or someone else due to injury. That would most likely be Pacheco or Toney.

Gonna go with Karlaftis.

5.5 of his 6 sacks, 1 postseason sack, 7 of his 11 QB hits and 42% of his total pressures came after week 10.

Per RGR Karlaftis had a conversion rate (pressures to sacks) of .2 in weeks 1-10 and that skyrocketed to 28% after week 10.

He really started to figure the game out as the year went on and I love that he’s working with Tamba on his technique. Omenihu and Felix will also help him a lot.

I think he gets 10 sacks this year

My thoughts as well. although I could see ALL these guys breaking out because they're all awesome.

Pacheco wouldn't really be a breakout player IMHO. He's already broke out. Above and beyond expectations. Dude is a baller. I seriously think we have Priest Holmes part deux in that man.

Skyy.

Rasputin 05-27-2023 07:42 AM

I feel like McDuffie already had a break out season. He is a lock down corner an he's just going to improve. This defense is going be scary good.

I think Skyy is going need to make the most out of opportunities or he will be criticized like Hardman. I can see Rice taking the #2 wr by mid season.

All of them and that’s not unreasonable to expect.

I went with Furious George. He finished the season strong. That trends towards a breakout season. But, it was such a great draft I could see several breakout players.

Skyy has no limit.

(He does, but I think he's a 1000 yard guy)

Feeling good about this guy.

It is not a coincidence that the Chiefs moved on from Frank Clark after Karlaftis' strong rookie season. The high-motor edge defender tallied six regular-season sacks and added another in the AFC Championship game while honing his craft as a first-year player. As Karlaftis settles into his role as the designated pass rusher beside All-Pro DT Chris Jones, we could see his sack production surge with regular one-on-one opportunities on the edge.

Holy shit! Look at you being all positive and shit!

I'm not sold that Toney stays healthy for a full season. I think it's ok, though, because I fully expect Skyy to kick ass.

Skyy.

Pacheco is faster than Holmes ever dreamed of being.

Chiefshrink 06-04-2023 08:36 PM

Some believe Pacheco has already broke out but I see him just on the cusp of greatness and when he makes several "take it to the house 40-60 td yd runs" like JC did(and I believe that he will) then he will in my mind have officially broke out.:thumb:
