 That was pretty good. I still think Gambit is cool though.

ThaVirus 08-04-2023 07:14 PM

Gambit is ****ing awesome.

Not to hijack the thread, but this YouTube short is really worth a watch if you like the character.

I saw it in 3D and it was better than I expected. Pretty fun movie.

I havent yet. I've been reading the IDW run in order. Just finished the idw collection vol 3

Though I just looked it up and apparently the last ronin isn't connected to that continuity

We saw it last night. It was really good, my son absolutely loved it. Hell even my wife loved it, she suggested going to see it again, which is really something we don't do often (and we do go to the movies a lot).

But my sons reaction was the best. And you have to understand we drove home from a wedding 6 hours yesterday, unpacked for 30 minutes & jumped back in to the car to go to the theater for a show that ended relatively late. He was so pumped after the movie, just talking a mile a minute about everything. He's generally very reserved, getting him that excited about virtually anything is really hard to do. He started watching the 2012 Nickelodeon show on Netflix as soon as he got home last night.

Also I was always a Leo guy, my son is definitely a Mikey fan. And Gambit was my favorite X-Men character. He was awesome in the old 80's cartoon.

I think my biggest drawback is the animation style, I'm still partial to how it looked in the 80s.

Unexpectedly good. Was not planning to like it that much.

Honestly, I was just slightly too old for them. I loved Transformers, GIJoe, and to some extent He Man.

Still have all of my original TMNT action figures from late 80's/early 90's. Prob have at least 50 of them.

Have the Sewer lair, Technodrome, The Blimp, the Van, the pizza disc shooting tank.

Wonder how much some of that stuff is worth now. They're not in orig packaging but always had my things well kept, not broken etc.

The first two live action TMNT movies are the only ones that matter.

The Batman vs TMNT animated movie is a good one too.

As much of a TMNT kids I was growing up, I have no desire to see this film. A fat black April? No thx.

Based on this movie then, who would you say is your fave turtle?

Same. I do like that it's hopefully keeping TMNT alive for a new generation. I was at Target today passing through the toys section and there was a whole shit ton of TMNT stuff. New and old alike.

No dinosaurs? Superheroes? Thundercats? He-Man? Gargoyles?

Hong Kong Phooey and Godzilla movies :)
