To be fair, $500k won't get you that far in a lot of big cities these days.

His point wasn't a humble brag. He was countering the point that nicer neighborhoods have better internet service choices. I'm in the same boat. We have the choice of ATT Uverse or nothing (besides shitty cell internet)

Yeah WTF, you living way out in the country? You can’t find a house around here for $500K. We paid $350K in 2013 at the very bottom of the market. The house we lived in lees summit for years we bought for $230K is now worth $500K.

LOL, that's not even a little true, unless "around here" means beachfront property... there's plenty of relatively cheap property around St. Pete.

In my neighborhood every house is worth at least 1.5mm and we have nine choices of internet providers.

Dude why are you arguing? Just to argue? You think Dafsce is FOS too? WTF? Most of those houses are 800-1500 sq feet.

And yes, the only place that’s “most desirable” is downtown and on the water. Just like every other city in America.
