Anyone remember Pach getting lit up on a run to the right, stumbling a little bit then he went into a pushup routine.

He's wired different. He's an uncaged wild animal out there. LMAO

Right side of the OL got dominated. Smith and Taylor were beat like a floor tom all night long. Brutal.

Mahomes floated a couple. It was weird... he usually flings the ball from those odd angles, but last night he had no velocity.

Pacheco is a frigging stud. What a weapon. He looked like Jamaal Charles on that 48yd burst for a TD. Also caught the ball well from the backfield.

MEH is awful. He had the edge wide open on a swing pass and somehow was slower than the DE and was brought down for minimal yards. That play should have gone for 10+. Enough already. Bench him, and bring up Perine.

Speaking of enough already, that cutesy 3rd and short bullshit needs to die in a fire.

Zach Wilson played the best game of his career and the Jets defense played inspired. That was a tough fought game.

The refs sucked ass all night. Horse collar? Seriously? Safety, when the facemask occurred at the 1yl? Phantom holds, then missed blatant holds. Incompetence on full display. The NFL needs to fix this shit.

And speaking of shit that needs to get fixed: Rice continued his streak of dropping the first pass in a game.

Our DL wasn't very good for much of the game against a pretty average OL, one of the bigger disappointments. LBs struggled a bit in coverage again, still waiting for Tranquil to get it together on this. Secondary even looked average. Against Garrett Wilson I get it, against the other guys not so much. But they also had solid moments.

The OL was bad but that's a solid Jets DL. Right now, Taylor is not playing like a top-5 paid RT. He just has to get better to justify that money. WRs were outplayed by DBs who are just better players than them imo. That's fine, Jets' secondary is good, our guys have room to grow. Rice's drops are a concern. I like the player but it just has to improve.

Pacheco was excellent. Mahomes was poor in the middle Qs but came good. Standard.

We were crap basically. But they were never beating us and winning while playing poorly normally means you're decent.

I feel like CEH drains the energy from any room he walks into.

DJJasonp 10-02-2023 08:47 AM

receivers are not getting open. period. full stop.

This is and will continue to be an issue.

This talk preseason of our offense being unstoppable and Mahomes going "god mode" was ridiculous.

We need either:

A) better scheming to get WRs open

B) better receivers

or both.

the guy might have the drive, but lacks the speed.

That swing pass where he was caught because he couldnt get around the end fast enough......we've seen it, everyone's seen it (but the coaches?).......

It's not going to get any better than that.....so scrap it.

in ONE GAME

they just had almost 200 yards receiving in BOTH of the previous two games

we're the third ranked ****ing offense ROFL

Tommy Townsend free kick from the 20-yd line to the end zone for a touchback with no touch by the returner deserves mention.

I do not know if I have ever seen a post-safety free kick from the twenty be a land on the ground touchback.

I recall vividly a play where Pat was able to sit in the pocket for an insane amount of time, I was screaming at the TV "What are you doing!? Let it rip!" They showed the replay and we didn't have a single WR that wasn't covered like he was wearing a green jacket. Not a single WR open, for even a moment.

After Mahomes and Kelce he's my favorite player. I love his attitude.

I remember that as well...

1) That defense is legit.
2) Our WR's are average players.
3) But Mahomes even on an off-day.

I would love to see a gif of the Trey Smith block the sprung Pacheco' TD.

(and I pronounce gif with a hard G (like God intended (because God's G is a hard G)), so please read it that way in your minds)

My takeaway from this game is this Taylor Swift crap is hurting the Chiefs. It was obvious to me that Mahomes was pressing, trying his best to get Kelsey the ball too much. He was way off his game lofting "touch" passes more often than not. He knew he was doing it too (Thus his comment to just "throw the ball" as he was coming off the field after his first interception). The icing on the cake was his absolute refusal to use his check down receivers. The Jets were giving him wide open check downs all game and he ignored them trying for the deep ball.

Had you ever watched the Chiefs before last night?
