I get it because they're about to make a killing on merch and tickets and just overall attention. But coming off two Tommy Johns there's a risk you're going to be spending $70 million a year on a DH. A great DH no doubt but what a contract.

Baseball is funny like that. There's no QB-like position of paramount importance you can focus on, and unlike the NBA, two superstars aren't enough to basicallty guarantee a playoff run.
