If this was a Saturday game, I'd make the trip - but Sunday night with no chance to take Monday off work is no bueno.
Have fun, y'all. |
Shit, nobody in this thread was flying to see the game in person, but I'm sure I speak for everyone by saying we're all on board to fly into Buffalo and watch the game at a bar.
LFG! |

But how are you going to do that and police the Game Day thread at the same time? Guess, u can do it from your phone... Just messing with you, before you get all Bearcat hurt. ;) |
I feel like we should take up a collection and send those three bodies that were found in the guy's yard. They were Chiefs fans, and we could prop them in the seats with signs in their hands. I think it would be a nice tribute.

Seems like you'd need to have multiple back-up options to fly in/out and add in buffer days in case of delays/cancellations given the hellish weather situation in Buffalo.

Looks like it's actually warmer in Buffalo than KC

Review of Ralph Wilson Stadium(12/12/17)
Overall, it is a good venue. Sight lines and parking are good. We had to walk a bit from our car through Erie Community College but the weather was clear and it wasn't bad. We saw two people vomiting by trees on the way towards the stadium. The charm of a football game. As we entered to get in line for the game we encountered the police storm trooper. Bypassing fall down drunks, he spots us...mainly my wife. That completely sober grade school teacher looks like she could be trouble because she forgot to put the contents of her purse in a plastic bag. I understand rules and we didn't ask for any special treatment but of all that was going on around you...but whatever. Contents examined. Purse thrown out and disaster averted. In our seats, the seats even in the upper deck allowed us to see all of the field clearly. Guy next to us is somewhat nice but just throwing down the alcohol. He is friendly enough to practically start laying on my wife's leg. I get this. My wife is pretty and not on the #me too train. He wasn't the only one. We go to games (college and NFL) and this was by far the most sloppy drunks we have ever seen in one place. I don't know if it was Buffalo Bills fans or New England Pats fans...either way, it was just too much. The food was overpriced but good. Didn't actually see security inside...but they snagged my wife's purse outside. Overall, it was an experience. Not outstanding, not horrible. An average time that would have been better if fans could start drinking like adults.
Date of experience: December 2017 |
Jesus, Rainbarrel. That made perfect sense.

I have never wanted to attend a road game more than this one. Hope all of you who are attending post pictures and stories of the great day of battle.

There were a few Chiefs fan in our row as it was at least 30% Chiefs fans (probably more) and chatted with a couple Cards fans. Not sure I'd want to basically be celebrating by myself in Buffalo though... even with a group of a few others, I probably wouldn't be as crazy as I'd be at Arrowhead, surrounded by silence when the Chiefs score. If there was a Chiefs section though like you see in college games, that would be fun. |
