End Zones are the opponents territory, you have to enter their territory with the ball to score points. If it is fumbled before crossing the endzone into their territory, then out of bounds, it is their ball as it was in their territory. I absolutely love this rule, even if it would have cost us tonight, because it is exactly the point of the game and defending your end of the field.

I love the rule too. So many rules in today’s NFL **** the defense over. This is one of the few that favors the defense. It’s totally fair and helps level an uneven playing field.

Just sucks when it screws your team.

I don’t agree on the call.

No way that meets the standard of “indisputable video evidence” to me.

It’s not what you “think” happened. It needs to be undeniably true. I did NOT see that on that play. At all.

It was the correct call as many have said. But it is a dumb ass rule that needs to change, because when the ball is fumbled in the field of play and it goes out of bounds, it's still the offense's ball. It doesn't make sense.

I would move the ball back to the 10 or 20 yard line, but not give the ball to the other team. Very harsh result to say the least. If you don't recover the fumble, you shouldn't get control of the ball.

This, 100%.

Of course, in order for the rule to be changed, it would have to happen to Buffalo.

And if the offense crosses any other line in the field of play, it's not a touchdown like it is when the cross the end some line. That line is different and it makes perfect sense different rules apply to it. Don't do stupid shit around it and you'll be fine.

It's their territory they are trying to defend. If you put the ball into their territory when it is not in your possession. You've lost it. Pretty simple.

Perfectly put.

But as was said, control the ball, protect the ball, its playoff time not exhibition season

My crystal ball says that next year in the playoffs, the Bills will fumble the ball out of the end zone. Of course they will cry about it and this stupid rule will finally be changed.

;)

Moving back to the 20 isn't bad. Would mostly mean a FG.

This is how I saw it. To close to overturn.
