I had a 20k budget for LIV. This included 2 tix, flights, rental car and lodging. Lodging in Florida was fairly reasonable. |

Been there a handful of times. Inner harbor area is pretty cool. Sports venues are close. Little Italy is cool and definitely worth checking out. I walked to Little Italy from the inner harbor. Federal Hill area is cool if you're into historical things, and also within short walking distance from the Inner Harbor, Camden Yards, and M&T stadium. In fact, everything I mention is within about a mile and a half from the sports venues.
In terms of the Inner Harbor, highlights for me were Camden Yards, the aquarium, and Pier 6 pavilion. Good views from the top of the World Trade Center on the bank of the harbor. Pier 6 pavilion won't be operating this time of year I don't expect, but it's a really cool music venue, an outdoor amphitheater next to the WTC right on the bank of the harbor. I've only been there in the spring and summer. I'm not a seafood guy, but the crab cakes I ate really were incredible. Haven't been there since 2005, so I don't remember the name of the restaurant, but I'm sure any place around the inner harbor will have great crab cakes. I always came in though the light rail that comes into the city from BWI, and you'll definitely roll through some super sketchy neighborhoods on your way to the stadium if you come via that route. But you're on the train, so it really doesn't affect you. Some really cool pubs on the short walk down Pratt St. from Camden Yards/M&T down to the inner harbor. There's a huge conglomeration of restaurants in the same structure on the inner harbor. Can't remember what it was called, but you can't miss it. |

Should be a fun time |
Me and a buddy are going out. If you're looking for a last minute flight, there's an Express Deal in the Priceline app right now for Sat out/Mon back, MCI to DCA for $241. They don't show you the exact times or airlines until after, but mine was United both ways.

We’re headed out as well; me, the wife, sister, and brother-in-law. Can’t wait…
Never been to Baltimore. Some of the above posts have me concerned. We’re booked in an Air Bnb about .5 mile NW of the stadium. Neighborhood is called Pigtown, I believe. Looks clean, nice cars, etc. on Google street view. Anyone have any better intel? We get in late Friday night. Looking for something to do Saturday if there’s a good place to go, stuff to see, beer to drink, etc. Any good KC Bars around there, BRC? Thanks for the help! |

The true travelers have been to a lot more places than I have. I know and have met many people with 50,60 and even 100 countries. Canadians and Brits are huge travelers. I did 90% of my travel between 18-40 years old. I still want to get to Greece, the Philippines, England/Ireland/Scotland a safari in Kenya/Tanzania along with the Seychelles, Spain/Portugal, Eastern Europe and the Galapagos Islands. I have given up on Middle East/Israel, 95% of Africa, India, Scandinavian countries, Central and South America with exception of Argentina. I don't feel the need to visit any more Caribbean Islands. |
