Explosion won't be back. Guys come back quicker, still normally takes about a year to get back to full strength.

Could give us a chance to sign him to a new deal at a better price.

If it's only an ACL he'll be fine, if he has meniscus damage them it's longer.

You can walk on your knee the same day of ACL surgery, meniscus repair though is no weight for 2 months.

So DE just went back up on the wish list for next season.

What? Dude, it's an ACL. It's fast nowdays. We aren't living in 1983 anymore.

He'll surely have surgery this week and he'll be back to rehabbing with minimal atrophy.

Yea that surgery is so different now, that use to be a zipper down your whole knee completely open on the table...now it's just a few small holes.

Bwana 01-29-2024 02:45 PM

We'll be just fine.

DaFace 01-29-2024 02:45 PM

Well damn. I mostly feel bad for him - he acted like there was no way he wouldn't be able to play in the postgame.

BWillie 01-29-2024 02:45 PM

I'm not even joking. Sign Frank Clark.

He will come to play in a handful of snaps.

Odd. I had meniscus surgery a few years ago (torn vertically AND horizontally). The doctor took my crutches away after one week and got me into therapy that day. I wasn't running on it right way, but I was certainly putting weight on my leg.

Did you have meniscus cleanup or repair, on cleanup you can walk very early because it's just removal. If you have it repaired you have to wait for it to mend together after surgery.

Yeah - if we're lucky he's back in October, but realistically you're hoping for him at/near full strength by December.

That stings. Fortunately he's not a quick-twitch player so he should be able to get back to full tilt a little sooner than a DB would, but I think you have to plan on not having him back until around Thanksgiving next year.

Daaaaaaaaamn.

All of this is why building DL depth is extremely important.
