Made it that much more urgent for me in real time lol.

They literally showed the OT rules prior to OT. The Chiefs are entitled to a full possession.

Why even have a game clock in playoff overtime? You can't have a tie. There's no second halftime.

The play clock should be the only clock.

Not to important inside, but you switch sides every quarter? There are still the occasional SB played outside like the one at SF.

I missed it. Speaking with family must have been more important at the time.

I admit I did the same thing Pete. I knew both teams got 1 possession and if tied after that it goes to sudden death. But I thought you had to score in that 1st quarter regardless. Makes sense though I guess since a team could take most of the quarter on a drive and leave the other team screwed.

But hey we are fans and the 49ers players had no idea either. Our guys did though.

Thats pretty awesome. Our guys were taught and strategy was outlined back in training camp. 49ers were learning about the rules from the Jumbotron when OT happened.

We are such a smart, well coached team.

I love this place. The actors stay true to their script, and it's great.

Marcellus 02-12-2024 08:36 AM

I'm going to admit that I didn't know the quarter would have just ended either. I knew we got a possession but it didn't occur to me the time didn't matter.

And this was the game that started at all for me as a Chiefs fan. The relatives from Kansas City were out for a Christmas family visit and we had Christmas dinner and after dinner we watched football all afternoon and into the evening long I was just six years old at the time.

This team ain’t sniffing a second overtime.

You must’ve been taking a pee when the ref detailed the rules prior to the overtime coin flip?
