I love both my children equally
|
It's close, but hobbling around on one leg into a championship that totally made 2020 a thing of the past we don't have to feel bad about anymore...takes the cake.
Very close but the Mahomes injury is the kicker. Plus the Bengals game was an all-timer revenge game. I love that this postseason run absolutely stamps Mahomes as an all-time great, though. You'd be hard pressed to find a better postseason than two road wins and a ****ing nail biter never say die game culminating in a drive Joe Montana would have been proud of. I was 12 years old on those last two drives. Eyes as big as dinner plates. |
I think 2024 is going to be the best. We will become the Bulls.

2020 is my favorite but this one is more impressive
Also is just me or did the 2020 bowl feel like a lifetime ago? |
23-24. More players were contributing less than they had, the path was definitely harder, and a repeat has to be harder.

This year was the TOUGHEST by a mile

Like choosing between your children…

This was the "**** off haters" Super Bowl. Easily the best one. Chiefs against the world. An entire off-season watching all the losers eat shit and have to deal with the Chiefs. Every team with good QB's realizing they will never get shit because the greatest QB OF ALL TIME is standing in their way. This is beautiful. We are so lucky.

People gonna downplay last year for no reason? This year was special. Last year was special! We traded Tyreek and were doomed, remember? Mahomes only went and won MVP and sealed it with a ring. Sent the Bengals home. Beat the vaunted super team Eagles, not allowing a single sack.
In 20 years I'm gonna remember both equally as fondly. 2019 only stands out being the first in the dynasty, reward for all the years we stood by Huard and Croyle and Haley and no WR TD and murder-suicide and Pioli and Tyson Jackson and all the rest. |
This year by far

Super Bowl 58 was the best. Less than a week after the anniversary of the death of number 58, we won it for him. 54 was also great, we won the first Super Bowl in my lifetime.

Every one of them is clearly the best.

This Super Bowl was the sweetest for a number of reasons. First, if you are a long time fan you grew up on dominant defenses trying to carry the team. This brought back some nice memories of shutdown corners, LB's flying around and a pass rush that could show up in crunch time. The Chiefs defense this year, IMHbiasedO, was as good as any D in the last 25 years. With Mahomes on the other side of the ball, they will never get the full credit they deserve, but man they were a thing of beauty to watch this year.
Second, it was fun to watch the next man up actually step up. You had "backup" guys like Tranquil, Pennel, Allegretti, Morris, Edwards, Chenal make big plays in the regular season and playoffs. That's a testament to coaching and drafting. KC didn't miss a step this year due to injuries. There is also a nice dose of redemption for MVS and Hardman to shrug off fumbles and dropped balls, only to be Super Bowl heroes a few weeks later. Third, it was the most flawed team that had to take the hardest path to the championship. Miami's high flying offense, the hottest team in the NFL the Bills, the #1 team in the NFL and the #1 team in the NFC. 3 times a dog. It was nice to prove all the pundits wrong. Remember, never bet against Mahomes and Kelce. |

First Super Bowl was sweet because it had been so damn long. Second Super Bowl was a redemption tour and easy to forget that we had a few rough years prior where everyone expected the crown to move to burrow . We won that game with a signature performance. This Super Bowl was EASILY the hardest road. Tremendously difficult schedule… no bye, road games, playing 4 legitimately terrific teams. And with our offense not having our best stuff especially in the Super Bowl Next year… I firmly believe this, we will have a monster offseason and will start throttling opponents. |
