It's just interesting to me that Harvard would initiate a study like this, much less actually publish it. Went from scoffing at the idea of UFOs/ETs, to not only publicly admitting that they exist, but now actually attempting to study them.

It's not exactly a study. More of a thought experiment. The authors are psychology profs. They aren't presenting any evidence or making any actual claims.

Yeah, you're right. It's a think tank type of deal. But 30 years ago no way Harvard does something like this.

Around 30 years ago I came across a book that was supposedly a biography about the writer meeting a captured ET back in the 50s or 60s. The ET claimed it was really a synthetic biological construct with an AI 'brain' that had been cloned from an actual living ET. And that had traveled from another galaxy, thousands of years travel time, to explore a part of our galaxy and had crash landed on Earth.

The book was published in the late '60s, iirc, and some of the things the ET allegedly predicted in terms of technology were amazingly accurate.
