Will Shields is the only Chiefs player I've met. Shortly after his retirement at a bar on the Plaza. Didn't talk long but I just came over to thank him for his work on and off the field.

Priest Holmes. Actually saw the guy rudely turn down the request of a kid with downs syndrome who asked him for an autograph in a hotel lobby.

He was walking with T.Rich and Gonzo, both of whom signed the kid's football and posed for pictures with thr kid and his family.

My opinion of Priest changed that day. I understand that an athlete is under no obligation to sign anything from anybody. But the way he rudely turned that kid down was shocking. Maybe he had his reasons. But you could definitely tell the kid had downs syndrome, and was just so excited to see the players, especially Priest. The kid was even wearing a #31 jersey. Un-****ing believable how it all went down.

I met Will at Barleys on 119th a few years ago. Nice guy. He lives not too far from that area.

I met Dwayne Johnson (when he was still "The Rock") and Kobe Bryant at Gold's Gym in Venice...both super nice.

Met Magic Johnson at Benihana in L.A. and he was also really nice.

I’ve noticed over the years Priest has really kept to himself and doesn’t seem to like the attention.

Yes, have met Will Shields as well. Worked out at his gym 68 Inside Sports in Lenexa for many years (I think it's closed down or at least that location is). He's extremely humble and nice. Couldn't have imagined someone being nicer, tbh. Just a real treat of a person.

ROFL

I was at a craps table next to Mark and Trishelle at the Park MGM while waiting for a dinner reservation last year. They seemed like they were having a good time and Trishelle would definitely still get it

This is actually shocking to me. I saw him when I was probably 12 in the height of his success here. He was in an explorer with team preist an 22" wheels or something. Dude was clearly on a date and me and my over hyped 3 adhd cousins rushed up to him. We didn't have anything to sign or a camera but he kindly greeted us and was really cool.

That may have been it. It was just really awkward, the kind of thing that if you saw, and everyone did, just kind of made everybody pause and think it's not supposed to be this way, ever. I think we were all just shocked, and Priest did seem very socially awkward in that situation. Gonzo and T-rich stopped, and Priest kept walking to the hotel elevator, I just kept watching him and he never looked back or anything it seemed like he just wanted to get away.

So you're probably right and that he just did not want the attention of any kind. But I think there are better ways to handle that situation than to shout, " NO! GET OUT OF MY WAY!" at a kid with downs syndrome and make the kid cry.

I guess that I'm lucky that every celebrity I met has been nothing short of gracious and even engaging to ask me questions, even when they were not in some kind of work event and just in normal life:

-Dolly Parton
-John Mayer
-Travis Kelce
-Dallas Clark
-Nicole Kidman
-Sheryl Crow
-Lionel Richie

Maybe cuz he had a chick with him, didn't want to look like a dick F in front of her, and wanted tang.

Was shocking to me also. Maybe he was going through something, or it was just really bad timing. He was talking with Tony Gonzalez and Tony Richardson, and the kid did interrupt them, but like I said, you could tell that the kid had downs syndrome, and had no idea of what proper protocol was. Tony and T Rich did their best to make the situation better for the kid. Signed his stuff and took several pictures with the boy. When they left, thr kid was smiling from ear to ear. So it ended well.
