Huh?

What does Sophie Monk have to do with Travis Barker?

Isn't he married to a Playmate?

I could've SWORN the credits listed Shanna Moakler. But then I was on 'Alka Seltzer Plus Cold and Cough.'

You are correct, sir. That was Shanna Moakler.

DaneMcCloud 07-30-2007 10:49 AM

BTW, that episode was filmed in Beverly Hills on Beverly Drive. My wife works in the 5 story building shown in the background and was booted out of Urth Cafe because they were filming the scene there.

It took the entire day to shoot that one scene (Urth & where the crossed the street) and everyone in that scene was a hired extra.

I'll be honest. I haven't checked the credits. Both Moakler and Monk are scheduled to appear in an episode this season.

But this picture looks a hell of a lot like Sophie Monk and nothing like Shanna Moakler.....plus the accent would make sense w/ Monk.

OnTheWarpath15 07-30-2007 11:10 AM

I see what happened, BL.

You thought someone reference Turtle's girl.

Played by Shanna Moakler.

Vince's girl was played by Sophie Monk.

They were BOTH in the episode.

BroncoBuff 07-31-2007 03:12 AM

Homer Simpson played the headmaster. Did I mention that?

Transparent BS. Just like firing Ari last season. We knew Ari was going nowhere. Just adding some drama in because thats what they do in sitcoms. Not neccesary in this series, imho.

Tribal Warfare 09-02-2007 08:35 PM

E was right Vince's movie blew major balls

ragedogg69 09-02-2007 09:25 PM

pretty lame episode. i was expecting it to suck balls this whole time. (they didnt really hide that with subtlety) the whole drama storyline was really lame. so hes an american asshole, we get it.

i miss anna farris. she owns my penis. lol. really different to see her play a down to earth girl.

atleast they got rid of the same old formula they have been using for this past season. turtle and drama have some lame shananigans while the rest of the guys progress the main storylines.

actually im expecting it to do horrible in theaters but become a cult classic on dvd like scarface.

kcxiv 09-02-2007 09:46 PM

except for the last 2 episodes. i thought this was by far the best season. Last 2 were just eh. I really liked tonights though. Classic Johnny Drama. lol

KcMizzou 09-02-2007 10:03 PM

Still... it would be so much better as a one hour show.

Yeah I agree. It just seems way to short and there is so much more they can do. Personally I thought season 4 was the worst season out of all 3, but I still liked it. I didn't like this episode that much for some reason, probably one of the worst I've seen. The only thing crappy is I have to wait a full year to see another new episode. I think next July is when season 5 is set to schedule. Why does HBO have to wait that long..ughh

ChiefsFan4Life 09-03-2007 08:31 PM

Actually, you'll see another 8 episodes from season 4 starting sometime in April or May (depending on how HBO does their scheduling).

The final eight episodes from season three were aired prior to the first 12 episodes of season 4. Season 4 didn't officially begin until June 17th.

Entourage has a 20 episode season (not 12), so season 4 hasn't been shown in its entirety.

I'll keep you all updated if I hear anything substantial.

The SGA strike affected this show big-time.

And, there were a few other factors as well...

Right now, I'm going through the past seasons. I'm halfway through season 3, right where Vince has drawn a line in the sand demanding 20 mil to do Aquaman 2.

Love this show.

I just watched all 54 episodes again. Man, I can't wait for the next episode.

Piven got another emmy on this show again.

He makes this show. If he chooses not to do it anymore sometime down the road, the show IMO will suffer.

Especially for a premiere.

noa 09-07-2008 10:31 PM

Just watched it. Definitely felt a little short. They should have delivered more for the premiere. At least let us know what his project is going to be this season.

stlchiefs 09-08-2008 08:40 AM

The damn show didn't even start until 9:05. I'm starting to get tired of feeling letdown after watching this show. Last season wasn't near as good as previous seasons and for a long awaited premiere, last night didn't deliver either.

Even Piven's rants weren't really funny, and that's usually the highlight. In fact, Vince and the boys are basically filler IMO. Ari, Lloyd and Ari's relationship with his wife are easily the funniest elements of the show.

Basically how I felt.

CoMoChief 09-08-2008 09:47 AM

Seems like the shows are progressively getting shorter and shorter and shorter.

This one ran from 9:05 to about 9:27......a whopping 22min episode.

DaneMcCloud 09-08-2008 11:19 AM

Historically, the first episode of the Entourage Season hasn't been good.

Season 3: Aqua Mom? Lame

Season 4: Welcome to the Jungle? Felt like a stupid documentary.

Season 5: Fantasy Island? Okay. Not great but not as bad as the others.

kcxiv 09-08-2008 11:26 AM

I thought it was a good episode. It was a set up for whats to come i guess. The thing with Turtle and Drama at the end with the fish was awesome.

I liked Aqua Mom and Welcome to the Jungle was at least original. Fantasy Island was like an episode where they tried to sell the show to a new producer. Look, it's got babes, nudity, Piven rants, friendships, Lloyd humor, and hollywood fucks them over but they leave you on the edge with the cliffhanger of "you're going to be bigger than ever".

But, yes, typically their first episode is not the best.

Well, other than the mom part, I thought it was okay.

It's not like it was a let down like this episode was. At least from my pov. Of course, like I said, I think the time between the last episode of last season and then this FINALLY starting really killed it.

DaneMcCloud 09-09-2008 11:28 PM

I just re-watched this episode and I thought it was really good.

SPOILERS:

We find out that Johnny's show has been on the air for more than 2 years (54 episodes), so he's a bonafide TV star.

Turtle finally gets laid, Eric's got three clients and a secretary and Vince hasn't had a legitimate film offer in more than 6 months.

Add to that, the classic Johnny Drama revenge ending.

I liked it!

I loved the first two seasons but since then it has gotten progressively worse. At this point it just seems stale and recycled.

Weeds blows this show away IMO. They aren't afraid to keep the series fresh. I understand they are two different types of series but if you aren't going to change things up you may as well call it a day after two seasons.

Artie has gone from my favorite TV character to flat out ****ing annoying.
