That address is now the semi-permanent address for the gameday chat. It's not on the ChiefsPlanet servers, so it won't bog down when the planet gets hit during games.

Although that is an excellent idea, I'm not sure it would be the best investment considering my future. I guess this is a good time to mention that I will be moving to Donkey Land in mid-December, so my game streams will effectively end after December 10's game against the Ravens. Hopefully we'll have C-Mac's stream stabilized (or find another streamer) by then.

Not sure about that one, man. Make sure you don't have any firewalls blocking your connection from Sopcast to the internet.

fuck! Windows is giving me an error. Something about "Don't give your digital ID to the world" or some such crap. Unbelievable! I've given Wndows Firewall a Sopcast exception, too.

I decided to reload the SOPcast file. The problem I had before for was the cut & paste the anonymous address. It would not let me, it just moved the link around on the screen. edit:would not accept the typed in version. Sorry not computer literate

The primary stream should be going this week, but it will be completely unmanned for the day (I'll be at the game. PBJ) If anything goes wrong and if the backup stream isn't working well, the game SHOULD be on TVU's CBS station.

I'm off to the game, so the stream's going. It'll tune to CBS at 11am for the game. If it goes down for some reason, try the backup stream or TVU's CBS channel. Time to hit the road!

THe KC Local Pregame shows are now streaming on the "Backup" sopcast.

Anybody having trouble with the sopcast streams?

The backup is pretty jittery and the primary doesn't work at all...

my sopcast stream is working fine.. a little jumpy, but its working.

Sopcast crashes about 2 minutes after I get a stream going and I couldn't figure out what the hell is wrong. I gave up and listening to the Wolf broadcast.

Just FYI, I'm lowering the bitrate for the SOPcast stream down pretty significantly this week. My stream is listed on http://streamednfl.blogspot.com/ as the primary stream for the Thursday night game, so I'm expecting to get hammered. I've had up to 300 on during a game before, but I wouldn't be a bit surprised to have a couple thousand on Thursday. Hope it holds up!

Anyway, just don't be surprised if it's quite a bit blurrier than you're used to.

Oh noes!! However you will infact stream this thursdays game? Hell I'll be happy to only hear the sound to be quite honest. Friday morning is so gonna suck after this game. You the man daface, my boss will hate you but you're the man.

As far as I know, there is no TVU channel streaming the game.

The primary stream is now up and running at 175k/s on the NFL Network. I'm off to the game, so if it goes down try the backup stream. Enjoy!

I can't get them to work-part of my computer reerunation no doubt- but I got it on the kcfx radio site, so I can at least listen while I watch the NFL.com Gamecast.

The "backup" appears fine on my end.

If your have trouble downloading the Sopcast, make sure:
-your using the latest Sopcast version http://download.sopcast.com/download/SopCast.zip
-if you have Windows Media Player make sure you have the latest version
-if you have Real Player, make sure you have the latest version
-your firewall isnt preventing the download.
-try rebooting

Even though it shouldn't make a difference, having 300 people on during games seems to make it a bit choppy. There are only 10 on right now, so that makes a big difference.

Not for you. If you're running a server, it saves your login info for the server when you log in, but that's about it.
