Raiders, and Mike would not go back there. Not sure he would be a good pick up for the Chiefs, but I will root for them no matter what. What will his new nickname be on The Planet. No more, "The Rat". |

Garcia Bronco used the reverse mojo.....and it worked.

All this build-up for the announcement of Herm's extension is amusing.

Break the news to the disappointed fans on Friday, and the weekend acts as a buffer for the talk-radio circuit.

The head coach gets say in who his coordinators are. Our coaches are leaving in droves-it isn't hard to connect the dots and see that Herm is a dead man walking.

I'm going by the Pioli way, since that's what is RELEVANT to our team and this discussion. |

I do not think Shannahan is a Pioli type of guy for the job j/m/o
Pioli is use to winning SB's... No? |

He has stated from the beginning that decisions are mutual decisions. Sure he is going to let his HC choose his Coordinators with strong input on who the HC chooses. Kind of like how Herm chose Gun and Solari and was not told by Carl he had to keep them. |

EDIT: Damn I'm slow... |
All hail Garcia Bronco for this thread. Just awesome!

I know many people within the Chiefs organization. In fact, I was told they were going to sign Pioli before the news broke and posted it here on the Planet, but I digress. |

The Chiefs are probably dragging this out long enough to where people forget what the **** is going on and quietly keep Herm the germ.

As far as your in at the team. You may have had this in the past but I would not be surprised if this changes under Pioli. If we are going to run things the Patritots way then nothing is leaked that they don't want leaked. |

If Pioli wanted Shannahan, he would have signed him.
They could always move Herm to the front office... Hunt still has to honor his contract -- unless he moves to another team. |

Did the Jets fail to give him a chance too? |

I believe Pioli has his eye on one of the coaches in the Super Bowl. And Herm moves to the front office. I could be wrong... |

Just an FYI. We have a guy on the Mane who works at the small airport out by Shanahan's house. He just PM'd me that Shanahan was there, and was getting on a corporate jet to go somewhere. What's weird is that only a handful of people at the airport know the ultimate destination (he's not one of them), and they're treating it like a matter of national security.
Anyone know what Lamar Hunt's private jet looks like? I could see if I could get this guy to give me a description. |

Herm's son Marcus Edwards, is Pro Personnel Assist for the Chiefs Director of Pro Personnel, Ray Farmer. Could be. |

Since Carl has left the building someone has to oversee stadium renovations
Herm and Curl will make sure it is done right and on time |

Every defense should have a Cover 2 package as part of it's overall scheme. You can't sit there and play man to man all day or you will get toasted. Gunther is incompetent, he's ****ing GONE, and people are STILL defending him? |
The earlier comment by Woody Paige...
The comment wasn't made by Woody Paige, but by a poster on his site. Thus far, it seems we have nothing buy Athan whispering "Shanahan" into a drunken Jack Harry's ear and Kyle Shanahan's comment at a mall. |

It's an OM thing. |
Well, apparently Jack Harry is saying the same thing. Gee, let's think about this for a moment:
Peterson - Edwards or Pioli - Shanahan For all of you who are already whining about this outcome, check yourselves. Shanahan in a purely head coaching role is excellent. He couldn't do the combo hc/gm job...neither could Captain Kangaroo in Seattle. Shanahan is a very smart coach and will most likely bring with him exceptional assistant coaches. Dude knows the AFC West better than anybody. I think we would be lucky to have him. |
