I would readily admit inconsistencies in my positions. I'm sure I've said something one day and completely contradicted myself a few weeks later.

Hell, certain posters will fall in love with one guy and clamor and cry if we don't draft him. God knows I was all aboard the Vernon Gholston bandwagon 2 years ago, but was pretty stoked when Dorsey fell to us. Ah...the offseason is fast approaching.

I'm good. :D

I just seriously dislike that mother****ing piece of shit known as "Buster Hymen".

Besides the fact that he has one of THE most immature and asinine member names, he brings absolutely nothing to this forum other than his complete and utter hatred of the "Drafturbaters".

He's not funny, charming or witty. He's got absolutely zero insight. He's just an asshole.

He's a worthless prick.

Hootie 10-15-2009 01:33 PM

I realize I have many of the same flaws as the drafturbators...

I absolutely hate when people don't agree with my takes...it's true. Of course, I do respect their football opinions...and a lot of the time, I do reference those very opinions as my own when talking to friends about the draft/current Chiefs players.

For instance, I absolutely blasted Hali on another board I'm on (a madden sim league) when asked about his value heading to the 3-4...talking about how "stiff his hips were" (don't even know what that means) and how he'd probably be cut because he'd be worthless in the 3-4...

I also pimped Gholston two years ago to a bunch of friends who said "who?" when he was drafted.

The fact of the matter is...these guys aren't "draft gurus"...they DO pay more attention to the draft than many of us...but the fact of the matter is...all they do is cherry pick their favorite scouting reports from their favorite draft experts...they don't REALLY break down tape...like I said...

I would LOVE TO SEE Mecca's draft board if we were to lock him in a room with thousands of tapes and then combine tapes...with no expert commentary...just mecca breaking down tapes and then getting a list of names for everyone who declares...

I bet you his draft board would be SO OFF, it wouldn't even be funny.

I mean...king shit himself HAMAS JENKINS drafted for the Dolphins two years ago and took Vernon Gholston over the likes of Jake Long, Glenn Dorsey AND Matt Ryan...the Dolphins...a team who turned to Chad "noodle arm" Pennington (who ended up being 2nd in the MVP race - even though the drafturbators referred to him as a Damon Huard clone)...yep, Vernon Gholston.

Hamas is just a witty deflector...I make point after point after point to that guy...and all he does is deflect it with some witty insult saying something about how I belong in a compost pile behind planned parenthood with all of my brothers and sisters or something stupid like that...just to get a few high fives from the drafturbators while deflecting any sort of rebuttal he may or may not have had to a point I may have or may not have made.

I made him look like a total asshole in a thread last year where everyone ganged up on him about it Hamas Jenkins style...what did he do? Gave me one last insult and then "cpiggy'd" me because he can't handle when he can't outwit his way around everything...

That guy is a classic example of "all talk"...I guarantee he has a lot of issues.

Hootie 10-15-2009 01:35 PM

and lets all be honest...it's QUITE clear the best pick we could have made aftet Pioli traded for Cassel HAS GOT TO BE either A) Aaron Curry, B) Michael Oher or C) Michael Crabtree (remains to be seen)...

and had any of those three been drafted, the drafturbators would have had the same reaction as they did to Jackson...it was Sanchez or MELTDOWN...even though we knew for 2 god damn months it wasn't going to be Sanchez (Cassel).

Don't forget Percy Harvin, Knowshon Moreno or even Vontae Davis.

And I think you're wrong: If a skill position player or Oher would have been chosen at #3 overall, there are people that would have been angry at first but the results on the field would have quieted most people.

It's hard to argue against Crabtree, Harvin, Moreno or Oher, considering all of those players fill a serious position of need.

The Chiefs could have just as easily signed Olshansky or Canty to fill TJ's spot and no one would even say a word.

Hootie 10-15-2009 01:44 PM

if we drafted Oher and started him at RT like the Ravens...people would have shit a monkey NO MATTER HOW well he played...or if we moved Albert to guard...same thing.

I think they fugged up the Jackson pick...but not because they didn't take Sanchez...we knew for a LONG time before the draft Pioli chose Cassel...Sanchez was out of the picture.

That's what so frustrating about the friggin' Sanchez bullshit. In the MNF thread I was comparing Cassel to Brady (and how the Pats were better last year with Cassel than they are this year with Brady - mostly tongue in cheek) and someone told me that was an idiotic comparison? Really? It's idiotic to compare the 2008 starter of the Pats to the 2009 starter to the Pats...but it's totally logical to compare Cassel and Sanchez?

Jesus.

Yeah, I don't buy that, simply because if Oher were on this squad, we'd see a completely different offense on the field right now. The Chiefs would be able to run and pass far more effectively. They may have the same record as today and they may not.

But one thing's for certain: They'd have bookend tackles locked up for the next 5 years at minimum. And Chiefs fans LOVE a good offensive line.

Sanchez aside, there were several other players that would have had an immediate impact on the Chiefs offense. TJ hasn't had an immediate impact on the defense which makes his selection a poor decision. I'm not stating he's a poor player. I'm stating that at #3 overall, the Chiefs had a chance to get an impact, game-changer and chose not to do that.

That's the difficult part to deal with as a fan.

Dude, I'm not touching that one. That's the same as OTWP58's stats that clearly show the Chiefs haven't improved in the overwhelming majority of categories over the first four games as last year.

Some take that as fact, some dismiss it as irrelevant.

Shit. Once I knew we weren't gonna be picking up a QB with that pick; I was actually pretty excited about the prospect of drafting Crabtree. Thank God we didn't.

Heyward-Bay or Harvin would have been a good pick-up; but those guys were just as much of a reach as far as draft-value at #3 as Jackson. Although a speedy WR would probably have helped this team a hell of a lot more than Jackson at this point. Our line is such trash, who really knows if teams would respect us downfield anyhow.

And all the Sanchez talk, all the time is ****ing reeruned. He's not our QB. He never will be. I'm not gonna walk around the next ten years and say "what if", because that's not productive. I'm not gonna root for the guy either because he plays for the ****ing Jets and I don't make a habit out of rooting for players that aren't on my team.

Sure, it's fine to be a level-headed football fan and follow the sport, but some folks like ROR are actively rooting for the guy. Hardcore rooting for him. WTF for? Hell, Reerun even said he'd like to see him win multiple SB's with the Jets. WTF for? It's a dead issue. Go forth. Forget about him.

Hootie 10-15-2009 02:05 PM

I don't even think of last year as anything...clearly our pistol/gimmick offense covered up a lot of our flaws and made us look a lot better offensively than we really were...perhaps the reason Albert looked so amazing was because of Thigpen and the gimmick offense. Our line looked worst last year than it does this year when Croyle and Huard were in the game...and then suddenly we turned to a college offense and for 2 quarters every game we looked like a legit offensive team.

This year isn't frustrating me anymore...we are what we are...check back with me in 2011...if Pioli still has our team looking like this...then maybe it is time to panic.

Sweet Daddy Hate 10-15-2009 02:11 PM

I don't give a **** how Sanchez does after this season. He can totally suck. As long as he gets more yards than Cassel this year, that's all that matters.

ALL...that matters.

Hootie 10-15-2009 02:14 PM

when was the last time ROR got laid? I'm going to say the 90s...late 90s...probably 1998.

And that about sums it up...

Your love affair with Sanchez led you to make a bet with doomy over who would be the more productive QB; and now every week you're actively rooting against our QB and for Sanchez to better suit your personal agenda.

Hootie 10-15-2009 02:18 PM

a whole chatroom turned on me a few weeks ago for taking the Giants (-9) over the Chiefs and actively rooting against the Chiefs to not cover near the end.

Was I rooting for the Giants at the beginning of the game? Hell no. Was I rooting for them once the game got out of hand at 27-3 in the 4th quarter? Hell yeah. If the Chiefs would have covered just to "cover" up a blowout game...it would have been more reason for me to hate them.

That's the most satisfied I've felt in three years after a game...they lost, I knew they'd get crushed, and they won me $300 (and 80,000 points on another gambling challenge I'm doing online)...

I've watched every game for the last decade...it's sad that the only way I can derive any sort of entertainment is to bet against them.

Though, I did bet for them (+7) this week and got paid off a 50 spot...I'm doing very well with my bets this year...so that's nice.

I can foresee this year's big draft debate. It's going to be about Eric Berry and Taylor Mays. We will argue endlessly about which player is better, despite the fact that they have different skill sets. It's going to be another impossible debate and none of us will find the truth.

Mr. Laz 10-15-2009 03:30 PM

maybe we can make a special draft forum just for mecca and all his friends. they can have the run of the place and sit around a talk about how smart they are.

You can bet that there will be alot of folks wanting to fix the o line with that 1st too. It's gonna be S vs OT,OLB/DE tweener pass rusher, Suh, NT,WR. But the ugliness will come from S vs OT.

I can't see the push for an offensive tackle being as strong this year.

I want Suh because I'm a Husker fan, but it's wishful thinking.

People like Kindle, Cody and the receivers would have to make a big leap in the draft projections. I think it will come down to Berry and Mays.

Like I said yesterday, time and free agency will prove this to be true.

It's very prevalent all through the offseason and in draft threads.

You see people who have very little to no knowledge of the draft act as though people who research it know no more than them.

Just this past draft we had Hootie in the thread fully saying he didn't watch college football or know shit about the players just purposely trying to piss people off.

I'd saying telling someone that their father did a horrible job raising them is talking about someone's family, which is exactly what you did after saying that you've never done it.

If you want me to neg rep you to death, I'll certainly do it.

After the LSU game, I'm not completely sold on Dunlap. I think he'll end up a Gholston. On paper, he's everything you want, but on the field, he just leaves a little something to be desired. He's not the best player on the Florida defense, at least from the past four games I've seen of them over the past two seasons.

This is exactly what I'm talking about. You don't have any type of refutation. Guess what, it's not eighth grade where the smart kids should be silent for fear of retribution.

Mecca 10-15-2009 05:48 PM

Carlos Dunlap is still an extremely rare defensive end prospect guys like him don't come down the pipe very often.

The year with all the really high end DL prospects is the year we won't take a Dlineman.

you really believe that, don't you...

you're an intellectual, your discussions of the nfl draft are intellectual while other people's aren't...

i mean, you honestly believe that...i bet you talk to people offline about it too, about how terrible it is that no one online is intellectual like you....

I'm right, aren't I?

I'll wait.

Well, let's see Asshole.

You've called me "Gay" more than a dozen times.

You've told me that my Father didn't beat me enough as a child.

You've told me not to procreate because I'm "5 foot tall".

Inferiority complex much?

I understand it's not on a level of telling someone that you're going to **** their dead mother, but it wasn't that bad was it?

Please feel free to take my lil green bar away. I'll sit here with my large cock instead, and laugh at you some more. Just a little aside though. The people pos repping me in this thread alone have a lot more rep power than you ever will.

PS: About that dogshit?

Discussing football in actual life is even worse than doing it on this forum.

Average sports fan is a complete dipshit and it's best to just avoid the discussion.

Anyone whose take on the draft is predicated on OMG TEH PIOLI!!1!11ELEVENONE or WE NEED A ****ING RIGHT TACKLE TOP THREE

is a ****tard.

You fall into category A. Hence, ****tard. Hell, I don't even talk about the Chiefs to my friends except to laugh about how much they suck. But again, keep making shit up, it's what you do best.

I don't watch a lot of college football, I don't like watching an inferior product...I do, however, follow all of the draft experts just like you...but I don't like about "breaking down film"...I cherry pick my favorite draft experts opinions just like you.

If they took Okung in front of both those safeties that would be a groaner.

Atleast with this past draft you can somewhat justify there being no players worth it, that excuse isn't there this year.

Well, we'll see how Albert does with coaching...but it's starting to look like taking a LT at #3 this year might have been a damn good pick...how much better would our offense be this year with ONE guy (Michael Oher)?

Cassel can't develop behind this bullshit line...especially with Albert getting beat every other play...shit, when Smith and Alleman were in the game Cassel finally had time to read the defense and make a throw or two (of course, I think Dallas was mostly in prevent at that point) but still...

Yup, I was right.

You think your draft "takes" are intellectual. Like Big Time stuff. Like only other intellectuals could understand and more importantly appreciate your intelligence. And that is very important to you - that people notice and praise your intelligence and intellectual takes.

i am never going to stop laughing when I think about that post...that shit is hilarious...

Somehow, I don't think this is what Phil had in mind, when he started this thread.

I think the powers that be should create the "Pioli Jizz-Moppers" forum.

That's where we criticize nothing, endure each of our forthcoming losses like "big boys" because we're "still Chiefs fans after all"( whatever the **** that means ), and appoint Hootie God-Mod.

In short; a forum all of three people would want to frequent.
