I doled out plenty of criticism of Sanchez in this very thread. I called him "abysmal", said he was staring Edwards down too much, wasn't going to his other reads, and that the loss fell squarely on his shoulders.

But yes, I've done nothing but defend him.

Christ, you're a ****ing idiot.

I don't have a problem with your criticizing him. I have a problem with the contingency of posters that have said almost nothing positive about Cassel in the preseason, during the season, or now. And most of them have done so because they are obsessed with proving the front office wrong for having passed on Sanchez. While nobody would directly say they want Cassel to fail, there are many posters who have come to the point where they are rooting for Sanchez to be better than Cassel merely as an "I told you so."

I just wish people would stop obsessing so much about a QB that's not on our team and start focusing on the QB that is. I think Cassel has shown some really encouraging things so far. And he's shown some areas he needs to greatly improve. And everyone agrees that he would improve markedly with better talent surrounding him--how much better remains to be seen.

I made a comment about Sanchez maybe having some issues with the conditions and Hamas said it might be true. He's right on this--he hasn't made any excuses for Sanchez in this thread.

Things aren't always black and white. Sometimes they're in between. Just because he says anything nice about Sanchez doesn't mean he's a blind supporter of him.

Sanchez threw 6 picks today because...

a. he sucks and really isn't ready to be a starter

b. locks onto his primary target from the instant he gets the ball

c. he sucks and isn't ready to be a starter

The winds didn't have a ****in thing to do with how he played today.

So pro-Sanchez posters don't constantly bicker about how Pioli ****ed up by taking Cassel over Sanchez? Or trading for a 27 year old instead of a 22 year old? Or never having the balls to draft a QB high? Or talking about how Sanchez has the "it" factor while Cassel doesn't?

The obsessing has gone both ways. Don't pretend that it doesn't happen just because the pro-Sanchez talk has died down since the Jets are on a losing streak. In weeks 1-3, this board was flooded with threads obsessing about what a huge mistake the Chiefs made by taking Cassel over Sanchez. Now that Sanchez has had some rough games, the anti-Sanchez threads have erupted. I can guarantee you that if Sanchez pieces together two consecutive wins and good games, the pro-Sanchez contingency will come out in full force again.

To say that only one side is obsessing is completely off the mark.

Sanchez is going through the growing pains now. It appears the NFL defenses have him figured out and adjusted against him.

Now Sanchez is going to have to re-adjust and figure out how to beat the defenses.

Look, the largest shit disturbers on this subject are Hootie and RoR. And yet, it takes about 10 posts before everybody has leaped into their respective trench while the artillery gets sighted in.

Stupid ****in idiot, you deserve a shovel to the face for the idiotic shit you say.

You've been attacked over and over again about your disdain for the front office not taking Sanchez, admit it asshole. Your fluctuating passive aggressive attitude towards the Chiefs is dependent on how your particular USC slanted draft approach seems to be working out on a week to week basis.

Are you more upset about the Chiefs success this week or the fact you look like an idiot due to your blind support of Mr. Sanchez? Dick.

He was awful, brutal, miserable today...etc, but it is far too early to get a read on whether he'll succeed in the league or not. Heck, Peyton had a 6 INT game a couple years ago and Brady threw like 4 or 5 at Arrowhead one year. One bad game does not make a player horrible.

If you really think my feelings on the Chiefs have anything to do with USC you are a reerun. USC produces high caliber draft prospects but to act like I want all SC players or only SC players on the Chiefs is ****ing reeruned.

Show's about how much you know and contribute, if you got hit by a bus tomorrow it would increase the intelligence of the human gene pool.

Yup. The entire degeneration of the board can be directly attributed to me.

Again, priceless logic supported by immutable facts.

I think we should just celebrate stupidity and fear intelligence that seems to be the general idea, but hey why be surprised it's the nature of the world today.

I just don't understand the how people see this whole USC draft bias by mecca.

Sure, he soes like a lot of USC players, but they do pump out a lot of NFL talent every year.

During this last draft, however, I can tell you that I liked Rey Mauluga a hell of a lot better than he did.

Ask around, or better yet, make a poll. I bet most would agree.

Other than RoR?

With all due respect, I don't have the time to do that. Not a lot of threads have been started on it. But on a basic search, a ton of threads have swerved into discussion on Sanchez for no good reason. Most of them were innocent threads talking about Matt Cassel--criticisms and praises. For some reason, those criticisms were then used to compare him to Sanchez. And I'm sorry, but the "late game" discussions have essentially become sounding boards for people to talk about Sanchez.

Like I said, the pro Sanchez talk has died down because of recent weeks. And the anti Sanchez crowd is starting to dominate discussion. And again, like I said, I think it's equally annoying from either angle.

This thread is priceless.

And completely predictable as well.

When Buster actually provides a credible football take he can say something, all he ever does is post about other posters.

Look ****nut, everyone that has even casually read your posts on this board knows that you're a USC fan first and a Chiefs fan second, it's a simple truth that you should willingly admit.

I forgot that the absence of an attention whoring clown suit and the presence of critical thinking was inimical to being a fan of the team.

Yup. All based on ego. None of us want the team to do well, it's all about being right.
