How in the hell did the Jets not recover that?

kcxiv 01-09-2010 04:53 PM

if Cincy blows this they have to fire Lewis. He has had plenty of time to turn this team around and get them deep in the play offs and he cant do it.

You can't expect them to beat Sanchez. He gets a pass this year.

He simply wanted to drive a longer length of the field, to be fair to the Bengals.

I would like a piece of Samantha Bee's pie.

Sanchez's facial hair is much more pronounced and masculine than Cassel's, too.

The Jets should be going for the kill here.

Jets are doing exactly what they need to do to win: run, run, run (even against 8- and 9-man fronts) and play defense, give Sanchez enough opportunities for a big play or two, but not enough to lose the game. I think he's managed things really well so far. Better than Palmer.

That can work in the first round, but they'll need to be more aggressive if they make it past Cinci.

Hammock Parties 01-09-2010 05:09 PM

LOL awkward moment with Bob Costas.

Basileus777 01-09-2010 05:09 PM

Palmer really is a bum. He's closer to Matt Cassel than to the elite QBs in the league.

romo will see every blitz philly ever invented. -- the eagles were mostly playing vanilla 4 man fronts & 3 lineman or 2 lineman one lineman walk away -- no six man fronts except for a couple of plays -- and that's why Romo was comfortable in the pocket. that's what i noticed... Just my opinion

honestly, i can't see that happening tonight. the signature of the philly defense is pressure, blitz 18 out of 20 plays & 6 man fronts.

yours truly,

the giants offense

Why;'s that? cause he's had about 10 years with that team and hasnt even won a play off game? He's been to a total of 2. Hell, we have been to the p lay offs 2 times in the last 10 years as well. We been through 3 coaches.

He's 56-54-1. Tell me again, what has he done thats so great in his tenure?

The NFL with their "scare the **** out you" anti-concussion commercial.

kcxiv 01-09-2010 05:16 PM

Marvin in all honesty should have been fired about a year or 2 ago.

DaFace 01-09-2010 05:17 PM

I'm late to this party, but hopefully the Jets can keep it up. My dream would be for:

1. The Jets beat Cincy
2. New England beats Baltimore
3. The Jets go on to beat Indy in the 2nd round

It's a long shot, but I would love nothing less than to see both teams that laid down to let the Jets in get beat by them when it counts.

kcxiv 01-09-2010 05:18 PM

in my dream it would be the Chiefs playing instead. I dont care who wins this game. Its neither of my teams.

If the QB we passed on for Cassel won two straight playoff games as a rookie, I'd build a siege engine and launch dead cattle into Arrowhead for six straight months.

That would help the attendance, though.

But yeah, it's gonna suck ass if Sanchez wins this game against a team Cassel had a chance to beat three weeks ago...really gonna suck ass...especially since the anti-Sanchez crowd can't use the "Sanchez has a better team" defense. Cassel's team had the Chiefs in that game against Cincy.

Nice run by Benson.

tk13 01-09-2010 05:29 PM

The only irony in rooting for the Jets because the other teams were conservative down the stretch, is that the Jets themslves are being extremely conservative in this game. They are just pounding the ball on the ground and keeping Sanchez's risks to a minimum.

cdcox 01-09-2010 05:29 PM

Which will be their undoing. They should have went for the kill when they had the chance. Conservatism will not win in the playoffs. You have to take chances.

I'm not in the anti-Sanchez crowd, but reality is that Sanchez does have a better team. He's had a better team all along. They're (much) better on defense, they're better on the offensive line, they're better at receiver, they're better running the ball (in a general sense, Charles as a individual may be better than Jones or Greene, but he's not better than Jones and Greene, collectively), they're better in virtually every conceivable way that a team can be better.

I was actually disappointed with Sanchez in 2009. I expected him to be better than he was with what he has around him.

Stinger 01-09-2010 05:31 PM

Palmer best play so far is to hand off to Benson or throw long and hope for a flag. He has been not very good minus a 4 yard TD pass.

DeezNutz 01-09-2010 05:32 PM

Kickers are ****ing assholes.
