McHoodie wanted Cassel and ruined his relationship with Cutler over it. Chiefs won in that deal. Now Fox and Elway are ruining the relationship with and confidence of Tebow. You have to like it. They won't get Manning, and the whole exercise of their involvement will leave behind scars that will not easily heal. Bravo John Elway. :)

How the **** would any situation where we end up with Cassel constitute winning any deal?

Its not a lock that Pioli would match the Dolphins offer even if he could cap-wise.

O.city 03-08-2012 06:56 PM

No but I think because of the things I stated, Manning might take a little less to com ehere than go to Miami. But he does live in Miami, so I think we might be in trouble.

My source that there has been no discussions or talks between the Chiefs and the agent. Only a desire of the Chiefs to talk.

Your source is never right.

First you dash my hopes and then give me hope again. I need roller skates to keep up with you.

Dude, I knew that guy who gave me the LJ stuff for 10 years, worked with him for 5 years. But, he quit after the first year of the Pioli regime. Now, its mainly local sports guys on radio and tv sending me stuff. I'm sure what they are sending me is real but whether they are being played...............who knows?

When it comes to huge FAs most FOs are quiet, thats why theres always a team lying in the grass...Miami talk is much too loud. KC talk is at a minimum. I think thats a good sign.

Titty Meat 03-08-2012 09:17 PM

Hunt probably called Manning begging to take us off the list.

agreed. I just want to it to be over so we as chiefs fans can be hopeless again. This "hope" look is not a good look for us.

Eric Buuuury should call Manning and sing the Tennessee fight song into his voice mail.

O.city 03-08-2012 09:29 PM

If he comes to KC, is KC the new Rocky Top?

You should call him and make jokes about Miami women. It could work.

Iowanian 03-08-2012 09:39 PM

I am going to Miami and slip some kookoo back in Brandon Marshall's cocoa puffs and send his wife emails from her lover.

Why?

Any investment in Peyton Manning would pay itself back 5 fold.

Sign him. Draft Richardson.

Lean on Richardson the first 4-5 games for Manning/Charles to get up to speed and then, let em have it.

I have no proof I just lost belief in this team years ago.

I don't think that was what he was getting at.

EDIT

My bad. I guess it was what he was getting at. Lighten up Bo.

Rocky Top Lyrics

Wish that I was on ole Rocky Top
Down in the Tennessee Hills.
Ain't no smoggy smoke on Rocky Top,
Ain't no telephone bills.

Once I had a girl on Rocky Top,
Half bear the other half cat;
Wild as a mink as sweet as soda pop,
I still dream about that.

CHORUS

Rocky Top, you'll always be,
Home sweet home to me.
Good ole Rocky Top,
Rocky Top Tennessee.

Am I the only one that thinks Richardson isn't going to make it to 11? I also don't see KC signing Manning and not getting him a RT. Unless we are in some way fixing both line spots in FA, or atleast one.

Okie_Apparition 03-08-2012 09:48 PM

Colquitt will drink to that

Iowanian 03-08-2012 09:49 PM

I'm launching a campaign to test Peyton Manning's wife's self esteem and texting her photos of all of the women on the beaches that are prettier than her.

That's a definite sign that other teams view us a legit favorite in this whole thing.

Why not be the favorite? This is where good QBs come to end their career. DeBerg, Kreig, Montana, Green and even though he wasn't good Grbac

Its appealing to the old-timers. No games in January or February.

BTW Denver talk radio seems to be thinking Tebow is not the answer and is on a Manning love fest to help develop their next young QB....

that is funny shit

Posted this in the Manning super thread but thought it was thread worthy. It would be nice to stick it to Shanarat and the Donks, amirite?

Me thinks Denver is just running the price up for the Chiefs inhopes they bailout.....

Wouldn't this be awesome. Pipe dream I'm sure.

@BrandonSpano: BREAKING: Source says that the Chiefs were the ONLY team to offer a completed contract to Peyton Manning today. Says they are most prepared.

If true, does not sound like a team convinced on the current QB does it?

This is the worst part of so many damn threads on the same subject. Same conversation in 3 different threads.
