Alright guys over under baserunners is 1.5 so what are you taking? |
I'm taking the under tonight.
Eiland has to be fired after the season, right? Not saying he's the cause, but how many pitching coaches have been scapegoated by this organization over the last ten years, and he'd get a pass presiding over this sack of shit?
Over.
He has a three run lead. Do not fiddle around with the strike zone. Just keep it low and don't try to be too fancy.

I am actually thinking under as well. He will pitch one of his rare 1-2-3 innings with a three run lead.
1 down.
I also think Broxton is extra focused tonight so he can get the game over and go enjoy the salsa dip/tray night.
Escobar is the 1st Royal SS to have a multi HR game since Jay Bell in April of 97.
2 down.
When you get the low strikes called, you're much more effective

I always love to hear our hitting coach explain all of the wrong reasons for batting a player in a particular spot. Well, wrong as of 2012 but likely correct in 1975.

Escobar needs to lead off.[/QUOTE No Gordon can't hit anywhere but first in the order |
Quote:
As a leadoff hitter this season in 206 at-bats he is batting .291 with an OBP of .385. His other 132 at-bats are what drags down his BA. The leadoff hitters job is to see pitches and get on base and Gordon does both those better than Escobar. Escobar is batting 30 points higher than Gordon but has an OBP 30 points LOWER than Gordon when he is in the leadoff spot and 15 points lower on the whole season. Gordon is perfect where he is. And Escobar seems good at the #2 spot so far. |
