ROFL

Alright guys over under baserunners is 1.5 so what are you taking?

SPchief 07-14-2012 08:02 PM

I'm taking the under tonight.

DeezNutz 07-14-2012 08:02 PM

Eiland has to be fired after the season, right? Not saying he's the cause, but how many pitching coaches have been scapegoated by this organization over the last ten years, and he'd get a pass presiding over this sack of shit?

DeezNutz 07-14-2012 08:03 PM

Over.

mr. tegu 07-14-2012 08:03 PM

He has a three run lead. Do not fiddle around with the strike zone. Just keep it low and don't try to be too fancy.

We'll have to agree to disagree. You always want insurance with a 1 run lead and Boozschwa gave us a better chance to score that than Billy.

I'll go with under. Law of averages.

Ceej 07-14-2012 08:03 PM

1, 2, 3 inning.

Traded 6 minutes after the game is over.

With Broxton, the average is over. But I like our chances tonight.

mr. tegu 07-14-2012 08:04 PM

I am actually thinking under as well. He will pitch one of his rare 1-2-3 innings with a three run lead.

SPchief 07-14-2012 08:04 PM

1 down.

mr. tegu 07-14-2012 08:05 PM

I also think Broxton is extra focused tonight so he can get the game over and go enjoy the salsa dip/tray night.

SPchief 07-14-2012 08:05 PM

Escobar is the 1st Royal SS to have a multi HR game since Jay Bell in April of 97.

SPchief 07-14-2012 08:06 PM

2 down.

stonedstooge 07-14-2012 08:06 PM

When you get the low strikes called, you're much more effective

mr. tegu 07-14-2012 08:07 PM

tk13 07-14-2012 08:08 PM

Another easy save for Broxton.

I always love to hear our hitting coach explain all of the wrong reasons for batting a player in a particular spot. Well, wrong as of 2012 but likely correct in 1975.

Just so you guys know, we are outdrawing the socks by an average of aboiut 800 a game. It was nice to hear the WGN guys point that out.

No. For whatever reason Gordon is infinitely better as a leadoff hitter than he is anywhere else in the lineup. Last season he was there and had a career year. This season further proves it based on the fact that Yost tried him all over the place. In only one spot does he play to his potential.

As a leadoff hitter this season in 206 at-bats he is batting .291 with an OBP of .385. His other 132 at-bats are what drags down his BA. The leadoff hitters job is to see pitches and get on base and Gordon does both those better than Escobar.

Escobar is batting 30 points higher than Gordon but has an OBP 30 points LOWER than Gordon when he is in the leadoff spot and 15 points lower on the whole season. Gordon is perfect where he is. And Escobar seems good at the #2 spot so far.
