Wanna know what humans do? They shoot wild predators that eat their kids. |
Well, as I stated earlier, I've had quite a few pals spend large portions of their lives living/working in Africa.
These dogs would seriously **** you up. Just 1. Now, imagine 11. A human can't defend itself with no weapons against a ****ing Pit or German Shepard, and you think that an unarmed human is going to leap 14 feet into a pit and immediately start beating the shit of 11, hungry, pack mentality, wild animals that **** up hyenas and leopards? What in the **** are you smoking? Bath Salts? lol |

I'm not saying I'm going to go out in the savannah in a loin cloth like I have a chance to survive. I'm just arguing that you never know, it may have been possible to save the kid. Even if you died and the child lived, it would be worth it. He had so much more life to live. |

Only on CP can you find people with first hand knowledge of the rare endangered painted dog.

BTW, I agree with another poster that investigation should be made to determine if this mother is actually this stupid or if this was somehow intentional. It seems crazy, but I don't know if it's any crazier than this level of idiocy. |
^^^THis.

Newly discovered evidence indicates this guy may have had something to do with the entire ordeal:

You havent had a kid yet, you'll know the truth when you do. |

As I said, I have no idea what I would do if I had a child in this situation.
The reality is, you go to your death. |
This is God's way of saying the Chiefs need to draft Barkley, apparently

He's right guys. If another child is dropped into the pen with these dogs they will kill again.
We better erase them and replace them with brand new, non murderous dogs. That way if a child falls in they'll all be like "oh shit, better not eat that kid since the last dogs that did that got put down". |

This is why we have leash laws. Those dogs should never have been running loose in their enclosure.

I wonder if the kid was dressed like this?

Can any of the dogs play Qb or cornerback?

I now know more about these animals than I ever did before. split second decision....it's my kid....I'm going in. I'm not super brave or anything, I just love my kids so much I'd die fighting for them. after reading a lot of these posts I realize it's a foolish and probably fatal decision to go in, but split second decision and it's my kid...I'm going in, not a doubt about it. I'd pop a few of them and then probably get killed I guess, but maybe not...maybe the sound scares them off....I don't know, but split second decision would be, I'm going after my kid. hell, as somebody in here stated before, maybe other dudes jump in to help me.... |

But in this case, the likelihood of the child being alive after 60 seconds is remote at best. |

Here's a virtual image of the 'setup' before the kid fell (as compiled by ABC news after witness statements, etc...)
http://sandrarose.com/images16/trage...sburgh-zoo.jpg Now I know this isn't exactly smart, and it's not what most of us would probably do. At the same time - that happens at zoos. That's something you'd often see a parent do, especially if the kid can't see the dogs underneath. Now I think my parents (or me personally, had I any children) would probably just try to lift the kid up and hold him there, but this is a woman and isn't going to have the upper body strength. So what did she do? Well, the nearest substitute - hoisted him up and set him down. She probably had her hands there ready to catch him if he bobbled...and didn't get it done. Our parents likely did extremely similar things at points during our infant/toddler years. As you start to look at this a little more and listen to interviews from neighbors, etc...; this really does appear to be a pretty doting parent that just made a very poor judgment call, but not a judgment call that we haven't seen before in public settings. And I can't imagine she knew that these were essentially the most savage damn things in the world, so it didn't even occur to her to be hyper-cautious here. If those were lions, I'm betting you don't see her try to do this because you have your radar up. I think I'm just going to chalk this up as a pretty damn horrific accident. But for the grace of God go many of you. |
I know I'm sick and I have issues, but did the story have a pic of the mother? I'm wondering if she's hot.
