I honestly believe that if Lamar Hunt was aware of Johnson's transgressions, he would not have been drafted. I also believe that if Clark Hunt, who at the time had little to noting to do with the Chiefs had known, Johnson wouldn't have been selected.

So you think that the Hunts didn't know about Larry Johnson (their star player and first round draft pick) and his very public run-ins with the law, but they knew enough about Jovan Belcher (an UDFA JAG from Maine) to think that a murder-suicide was in the cards?

Till 1am or 7am. I don't think its normal to leave a 2.5 month old with the babysitter until those hours.

She was his mother, not a babysitter.

Aggrandizement of the situation. As I said, Grandma probably loved being with the child.

Not being self-righteous; just pointing out a pattern of irresponsible behavior that could have been completely avoided had either (or both!!) had the basic common human decency of staying home with their kid. Not to mention going to meetings and walk-through.

It just seems like no one has personal accountability anymore; call it self-righteous, whatever...but I have not killed my daughter's mother. And I won't. We didn't get along so much after she was born...and we got a ****ing divorce.

Dale Carter was getting in trouble from the moment he got here.

You realize with all the supposition, you are fanning flames to a fire that should have died.

Nothing against anyone on this thread, but I am done posting on it. I am no better than those of you supposing and alluding and telling us why Scott Pioli is to blame, Belcher was a killer, and why their family life was atrocious. Simply because by pointing out your mistakes in the suppositions, I am adding as much fuel as you are. Keep giving life to a killer, I will not do so any longer. I apologize and I am done

Second...check out some Trey Songz live youtube videos, and try to tell me that it ISN'T soft-core porn, medicore rhyme-n-bass with lyrics about nothing but intercourse...

Third, the type of music, literature, entertainment, art, etc. that a person incorporates into their lives, their daily being, has a total impact on how you live a person lives their lives.

Most family people in an office job wearing a 3-piece don't listen to, say, Insane Clown Posse. Why?? Because it doesn't appeal to them.

I'm with you on the last part I felt the same way when I heard that Patricia Lagaretta and Jamie Rohrs had a four month old and four year old at a midnight screaming of the The Dark Knight Rises. Who takes a child that young to see a movie at midnight let alone a movie like that? And no one in their right mind takes a four month old baby to that same movie. Yet, they were there.

I also got a glimpse of that on a smaller scale this summer in KC at Livestrong. Where I saw four babies all infants in the Cauldron. One was four weeks old. The Cauldron is a place where people get very excited, sometimes too excited. Sometimes beer is thrown. It's always loud and then there are the fireworks before the game. But there are these 20 something kids with their infants hanging off their shoulders.

I don't think young people with infants need to live like the Amish but when did it become acceptable to put your kid at risk or a second priority behind your entertainment needs? Rather, wants.

Belcher’s mother, who came from New York to live with her son so the couple could work through their issues, didn’t hear much of the argument. But just before 8 a.m., she heard her son say something to the effect of: “You can’t talk to me like that!”

Wow I gotta hope the wife and I never get into such a Heated arguement and one of us lets forth a yell from the depths of hell.. “You can’t talk to me like that!”

I'm not sure why this struck me odd.

I expected to hear they were pushing each other around she scratched him he knocked her down screaming to wake the neighbors..who shes been screwing..

Would you be mad if she went to a Christina Aguilera or Britney concert? Seems like those snippets fit your description of the concert over the weekend...

so that's what 'real men' do??

Don't honor the women in our lives (in whatever capacity they may be in), but totally objectify them and demean them instead of honoring and protecting.

As a society, and as men, we have failed our women completely.

ARROW2 12-04-2012 11:22 AM

I don't care what you say, that last gif of Aguilera has me stuck........

Understood but it has nothing to do with music. I'm sure there are some evil mothafukkas that listen to Jazz...

And the funny thing about it is...it's not even hard.

It's a choice. Some people don't care...others do.

I wouldn't be so much mad as annoyed and disappointed.

You can honor the women in your life and admit that someone is hot at the same time. Britney and Christina are not in my life....and if I was single and they were in my life, trust me brotha, I would treat them right..

Don't watch porn; ain't got time and double don't care. As far as the 'you'd hit it' remark...you'd be surprised. I turn down offers left and right. I've probably turned down better pussy than most dudes even get a crack at...and that ain't me bragging, it's God's honest truth.

I don't just bang chicks because they're hot; I take the whole thing seriously - love, honor, respect, the whole bit. It's not a ****ing game, peoples lives, emotions, bodies...they aren't just toys. They aren't useful alternatives to masterbation, some kind of false illusion of intimacy to cover up how hollow my life is.

See, I'm actually growing up, becoming an adult. And learning how to be a real man.

Just because I'm young doesn't mean I have to be ****ing stupid.

Sure thing, Omaha. ROFL

Raising a child is the most responsible thing someone can do.

It seems as if Jovan was rarely home (he's a football player, so this is known)... and that Kasi was a normal 22 year old female who was probably not fond of the idea of STAYING HOME with child, considering she was out at a concert after only 3 months after giving birth. When you get people this young having children, sometimes it is bound for disaster. Poor child.
People need to know that unless you have a good amount of family support, or a baby sitter you REALLY trust... your social life becomes close to non existent once you have a child at least for a year or so.

ARROW2 12-04-2012 11:29 AM

Yeah but being at a concert is not why she is dead......

KCUnited 12-04-2012 11:29 AM

We got a guy throwing 70 yards in the air in here, fellas.

Of course there are. There are exceptions to everything. Also, not everyone that listens to crap IS crap...but I'm almost certain there is some sort of correlation. If lyrics about a particular lifestyle appeal to you, there might be a reason for that. And yeah, I know that evil white corporate men listen to classical or whatever.

The Hunt family doesn't tolerate people like Belcher.

In all fairness, women have played a pretty big role in that.

ROFL

Lots of gangbangers bumping Kind Of Blue or Giant Steps, huh??

Torturing people to Kenny Burrell??

are you kidding??

Do you even ****ing KNOW anyone who listens to jazz??

Obviously not.

Dude...the culture that perpetuates this type of behavior permeates from the God-awful mass communication empire that constantly pushes this ignorant thug-life mentality to radio, TV, etc. Sex, drugs, etc. Three And a Half Men is a perfect example : horrible scenarios where a young pre-adolescent or adolescent is exposed to sex, alcohol, etc. Dick and fart jokes. And it's the number one rated show on TV, and people think it's funny...but it's putrid. They don't know any better. Same with the music; it's what gets pushed, so people don't know any better.

The result : a dumbed-down impetuous society, fixated on sex, money and power. It's cool to be dumb, and not speak properly, and to be promiscuous, etc. As a society, we're more fixated on becoming mechanical economic vessels than learning how to love ourselves, each other, and our earth which gives us the very life that allows our existance.

Having honor, integrity, chivalry, etc. are dead concepts.
