My bad. |
A RB under Andy Reid probably isn't setting records for carries. We're gonna throw it around I'd imagine.

He didn't have a good season. |

Info I got about 10 minutes ago while I was watching Kobe take over a 4th quarter was that they envision Robinson as a FS. |

Maybe he can show Lewis how not to be a pussy...added bonus. |
There's reports that 5 teams contacted Smith at 12.
Chiefs, Eagles, 49ers, Bucs, and Lions. So am I to believe that all these teams, who have studied Smith extensively over the last 2 months know more about Sean Smith, or GoChiefs, who relies on a website to give him all his info since he's probably seen about 2 games Sean Smith has played over the last 2 years. |

I'm waiting to hear something good about Sean Smith other than "The Chiefs might sign him so he must be goooood"

I heard numerous times that Reid hated DRC's work ethic. |
these guys recognize what holes their new team has and they're putting out a legit effort to fill them.

I'm on the bandwagon for Smith FOR that reason. |
Lewis is strictly a center field free safety. Maybe a rotational type guy at best.

Things to like about Dunta: Hits hard, aggressive, good in run support IIRC, and solid at FFs as well.
Things to dislike: Not that great in coverage but not horrible either. Much better suited for playing inside. Not very big. I have no problem with them bringing Dunta in as the nickel. As your #2 on the outside for 3 downs, well, I'd probably disagree. |
He'd never come back but I really wouldn't be upset if the brought back Gonzo at te

Wonder if Abdullah makes the team? We might actually have a decent safety group

I think the Chiefs are being aggressive making fantastic moves. I can't wait to see how many doomsday regulars we have that just disappear once the chiefs start winning this year.

Chiefs apparently in contact with Sean Smith
Posted by Darin Gantt on March 9, 2013, 12:44 AM EST Reuters Despite reaching a deal with cornerback Dunta Robinson late Friday, the Chiefs apparently are still in the market for more secondary help, reaching out to Dolphins cornerback Sean Smith early Saturday. According to Albert Breer of the NFL Network, the Chiefs “have shown an interest in CB Sean Smith early on in the contact period.” Translated, they were on the phone a half hour ago, negotiating but not agreeing or anything. Of course, long before the days of legal tampering, Smith was trying to cram the toothpaste back in the tube at the suggestion of old-fashioned tampering. Adding Smith would legitimize a secondary that needs the help opposite Brandon Flowers. Depending on the money in the Robinson deal, the Chiefs could easily justify using him as a nickel corner or even at safety if they landed Smith. Robinson’s a good tackler, and even if he’s not the same cover player he was, he adds value. |

Any time you can pay top FA money for a guy who gets toasted on double moves, you have to go ahead and make that move.

Jesus Clay how bout show a play where he makes a play? You cant have your cake and eat it too. Corners get beat. Flowers gets beat

The problem with Smith in those gifs isn't that he got his ass beat, it's that he looks stiff as hell, almost like his lower body is in a plaster cast.

Sean Smith showed some nice promise as a rookie and then promptly under performed IMO.
Would much rather use the money going to him on Gamble (despite age), Delmas (despite injuries), and a few others. |

The "bet" is beyond stupid. If Smith gets a pick in the first game but then proves to be the worst CB in the NFL or exceptionally terrible, Clay shouldn't be allowed to bitch and moan about it? Gotta be more reasonable. |
Just don't get too excited over any FA CB:
McPassOn, Surtain (wanted a huge contract, so I'm throwing him in here), Routt, Ty Law. Hell, our best move was passing on Samari Rolle b/c of stenosis. |

Question here from an idiot: Why was Sean Smith never used as some sort of safety. The ****er is big and fast. What is he missing?

He'd probably make for a decent safety but I haven't watched enough of the guy to really make a valid opiniao. |

I will tell you that Clay will pimp Dunta if he somehow turns into a monster NCB. It's just science. |

No one falls harder for barely above average players than me.
If Sean Smith is half the player his contract is worth I'll probably like him. |

All I want Clay, is for you to give him a chance. You dont like the move, ok fine, but dont keep bashing it every minute on the hour

Tell you what, I won't say anything bad about Sean Smith until he gets toasted as a Chief. Just for you. |
