The Royals had never before scored 10+ runs in a game with fewer than 8 hits (6/26/99). Today they scored 10 with just 6 hits.

I kind of love George Kotteras. Such a unique hitter and so unlike anything the Royals have had recently.

I refrained from calling "game over" but I am with you. I went out for a bike ride when it was 5-0. Listened to the game while doing so. Got pumped when we tied it then when they went up 7-5 I was figuring we would lose until Hosmer went apeshit.
