Ok.

Absolutely. Neither one of them is great defensively and while Kottaras is pretty good at drawing walks, there is nothing else he does well. Walks only drive in runs if the bases are loaded.

Well then answer this smart guy - Billy Butler has an OPS of .811. Everybody else on his team has a lower OPS, including many much lower. Who has to best OPS on the team?

So would rather have a guy who goes 1-4 with a solo home run or a guy who draws four walks.

LOL, Miggy is so damn slow he made a sliding catch on a can of corn.

Ummm...Billy's fat!

God of Thunder 08-15-2013 07:18 PM

So this is how you blow a season.....you give 0 effort.

penbrook 08-15-2013 07:19 PM

We need a spark plug in this lineup.

suzzer99 08-15-2013 07:22 PM

It looks like someone gave the Royals valium so they wouldn't be nervous and press.

Mama Hip Rockets 08-15-2013 07:23 PM

Billy Butler, by the way, is not in the top 13 in the league in double plays. Even though he is fat.

These losers are, though. Look at all these pieces of shit:

Matt Holliday
David Freese
Martin Prado
Albert Pujols
Prince Fielder
Kendrys Morales
Michael Young
Edwin Encarnacion
Victor Martinez
Robinson Cano
Paul Goldschmidt
Adeiny Hechavarria
Dustin Pedroia

Discuss Thrower 08-15-2013 07:24 PM

I figured the Royals would be lucky to win more than two over this series.

There's always next year... Without Santana and still missing production from RF, 2B, 3B, SS....

Are we going with the theory of clutch hitting?

Because I don't really buy that shit.

Getz keeps swinging like this we don't need another 2nd baseman.

Nobody n this offense that scares people. A collection of slap hitters.

Anyone interested in tickets to next Wednesday's game against the White Sox?

I have 4 Dugout Box seats in Row H right off the plate, and a parking pass. Will sell pretty cheap.

Billy 2013 batting average stats:

Bases empty .269

RISP .337

RISP with 2 outs .390

Look pretty "clutch" to me.

So because he isn't successful about 7/10 time, you tards think he can't hit because you only remember his failures.

Hosmer 2013 batting average stats:

Bases empty .300

RISP .253

RISP with 2 outs .217

Hosmer...not clutch then? Oh and the theory of clutch is pretty ****ing stupid.

Have we checked his fat?

ROYC75 08-15-2013 07:38 PM

OK, we lost this one.

Stranger things have happened, but " IF " we win the next 4 games, all the naysayers will be back onboard.

I said I would be happy if we win 3 of the 5, this is still possible.

Detroit is not a good daytime ball club, but we do face Verlander in the day game, a tall order, but we can win it.

Sweep tomorrow and then get at least one of the next 2. So many things can happen in a season of 162 games.

We back on track.

Mama Hip Rockets 08-15-2013 07:39 PM

Escobar is fat.

Prison Bitch 08-15-2013 07:39 PM

Does anyone actually watch these mutts live? Even when we were winning I would DVr the game so I could FF most of our pitiful at bats. We have a AAA lineup

Deberg_1990 08-15-2013 07:44 PM

The problem with Butler is his slugging pct. is down. He's not hitting for as many doubles and HRs as previous seasons. He still hits, but it's for a lot of singles. But he's not a fast guy obviously, so he's just a big guy with no power and clogs the bases. We need him to drive in runs, not just get on base with singles.

lewdog 08-15-2013 07:44 PM

I agree. He doesn't hit as many homers as he should and his doubles are down for sure this year. It isn't the Billy type year we needed but he is far from a problem in our hitting lineup.

And the clutch argument is the dumbest argument ever.

penbrook 08-15-2013 07:48 PM

#Royals now 0-7 when Chris Getz leads off. Search for "Giavotella" and "leadoff" returned NULL.

KCUnited 08-15-2013 07:52 PM

I'm starting to wonder if Butler is hurt, like a clogged artery or the beetus or something.

Hes a fat unathletic pos that Dayton signed to a long term deal. Dude is a fatass. Any sensible fan should be ashamed to have Billay fatass as your mascot. There is a reason he singed that contract.

KC Royals are doing it wrong.

A Missouri MLB team just promoted their undersized .300 hitting second base prospect. No not the team starting Chris Getz. The other one.

Ya cuz he never hits home runs or anything else. Kottaras is one of the best back up catchers in the MLB offensively, and Pena sucks at defense too.

He has one more home run than pena. That category is pretty much a wash. They both suck on defense btw.

There was some confusion in a previous gameday thread over where this series was being played, if I recall correctly.
