So ****ing tired of hearing the Royals announcers make excuses for this brutal play.

petegz28 07-02-2015 09:04 PM

weak..****ing weak....we had chances and choked them away

Al Bundy 07-02-2015 09:05 PM

Very fitting Perez made the final out...

Chiefs Pantalones 07-02-2015 09:06 PM

Why can't we have a Kyle Gibson?

Prison Bitch 07-02-2015 09:07 PM

They're gonna have to make a decision on Rios in the next couple weeks. Out of 390 hitters over 100 PA, he's 10th worst in wRC+. Cannot have that at RF in the American league.

alnorth 07-02-2015 09:11 PM

As I posted earlier in this thread, this is the only game thread I'll start for this series, I'll be way too busy to start any of the others. So someone else can feel free to post something at 12:01 am so that we can forget about this shitty game.

Because if we had someone like him he wouldn't develop into the player he currently is. We can't develop pitchers. Likewise, we can't develop patient hitters who take walks. I believe our minors are often towards the bottom in walks in all of baseball? It's not a surprise then when the major league team is full of reeruns who hack away at anything thrown their way.

Al Bundy 07-02-2015 09:22 PM

According to David Lesky John Lamb is no longer listed as the starter in Omaha for tomorrow night.

Al Bundy 07-02-2015 09:27 PM

Watching the Ned post game is awful.... he refuses to say anything bad about the Royals players...

It's hard to judge a pitcher's quality against this offense. Terrible hitters are these guys.

Glad I didn't waste my money going to the game.

All too frequent these days.

Is there a manager that will? Do you need a manager dogging on them when they all seem to be slumping and pressing. Just gotta work through it.

The organizational philosophy is always make contact. It kind of goes against the way the game has changed this century, but it was also why they were so successful in the playoffs. They had like 100 less strikeouts than the next fewest team last year. Put the ball in play and make the defense work.

This year it might be even bigger, they're again dead last in strikeouts and almost 80 behind the next team. The difference between the 15 and 29th ranked team is almost as big as 29th to 30th. That's kind of impressive.

Just don't act like no one has ever seen how good efficient offenses work.

Looks like the 44 wins we had had so far this year. Just gotta work through a slump. No if the team is dogging out then sure the manager should give them hell just not in front of the press.

You know, 4 losses in a row happen. 3 of them were to the feel good story of the baseball season so far. Our bats have really went quiet, but let's hope this is just a bad stretch like the team has been through in the last couple of years during May. Just imagine if we get hot after the all-star break like the last couple of years. Rios was hot, but this year and last hand injuries have really hampered him. It's truly unfortunate that it happened this year.

@theprogramkc can we make the argument that Eric Hosmer is basically Doug Mientkiewicz in his prime?

Haha, lol, that is totally......sadly kind of accurate

Their slumping just like they usually do before the All Star break. I just hope they can win a few this coming week. We'll see.

And that is probably the only good news to come from the Royals tonight. Lamb has earned a promotion.

Well I'm glad that the Royals are doing a repeat of last year...getting their asses handed to them by HOU and MIN right before the ASG.

Great Expectations 07-03-2015 08:40 AM

Lamb should start Saturday.

ChiTown 07-03-2015 09:24 AM

Went to the game last night. What a disappointment. There is just nothing going on with the bats right now. 4 ****ing singles, and the Twins got 5 XBH's. Last two games I have been to, the Royals have scored a total of two runs. I need to stop going to the games. :banghead:

Got to stop this skid tonight.

Prison Bitch 07-03-2015 09:33 AM

Just DVR them. Started it at 930, by 950 I was about done. Simply cannot understand why someone would watch that live unless they were there. Esp Alex Rios' at-bats.
