Answering questions with questions, I see. The Bible makes a lot of rules that we don't follow anymore, including ones about women's periods, what we eat and when, fabrics, personal hygiene, and others. How do you know which ones you are supposed to follow in 2016 vs. which ones are OK to ignore? I don't recall a commandment that says "thou shalt hate teh gays and trannies." |

I think you're confusing me with someone else. I think this is the first time I've mentioned hate. And it was hyperbole. |

NOTE: Does not include following the made-up garbage of Prushim and Zadokim( i.e. Mishna and Talmud ) 2) There are 613 commandments as proscribed by God and delivered to the nation of Israel at Mt. Sinai. Some are for men, some are for women, some are strictly directed at the sons/descendants of Aaron and Levi. Again, if you are not familiarizing yourself with these things and/or believe that just because you went to an altar for 10 minutes and said "I love you Jesus"(!), and received a celestial insurance policy, that's on you. As to your question regarding fibers, the intent behind that commandment was to separate the children of Israel from the practices of the remnant of Babylonian sun-worshipers/Nimrod-worshipers, scattered at the tower in the land of Shinar whose "priests" made garments specifically in this blending manner. 3) It's not hate, but thou shalt not associate much less celebrate. I am the Gordon Ramsey of 316, padawan. Enter this kitchen at your own risk. :) |
Christ also said to love your neighbor. There's a whole lot of rhetoric in here I'd call far from love.

As much as I loathe progressives, the subject of this post deserves every amount of derision he receives. Had I been the tow truck driver, I would have used the opportunity to: A) Explain my position. B) Offer the service free of charge just to show who really has the better philosophy. |
So, after all this debate stuff are we finally going to see Bruce's new vagina?

They should put Pete Rose on the same page tucking his junk between his legs.

By the way, "informed" is subjective. In its history the Bible has been edited multiple times, translated many times, and interpreted a thousand ways by a thousand different denominations. You have learned what your particular denomination teaches you, but that is really just one of many interpretations of what the Bible means. |

The Torah, the Prophets, and the Chronicles of the Kings are as rock solid today as they were they day they were documented. |

When Jesus speaks of salvation and the "preaching of the gospel" that leads to salvation, it is my obligation to do so, and yours as well. Now, that's all well and good, but it might be a great idea to actually know what we're talking about, yes? What were you taught is "The Good News"? I'll wait. |

It's funny watching you pimp Jesus to validate people who want to be the opposite sex, then turn around and proclaim that His truth is subjective. You'll answer to God for both. |

I have come to believe in my life that it is and should be all about you and your God on a personal level. Organized religion gets in the way with dogma based on social and political agendas. Organized religion is man based IMO, not God based. I would never tell you not to follow your path to God, however, the only important thing is that you have one. I will not imply that you will burn in hell as you did to someone earlier. |

Your argument holds no value. Truth is, if Bruce came to Christ, he'd would be in reconstructive surgery within a day. |

This is what I mean by interpretation. You are interpreting that Jesus believes something that is not actually in the Bible and you have no way to know what he believes. |
This thread is a great reminder of why I don't go to church.
The whole mantra, "if it's not in the bible," instead of using the rationale brain that your God gave you on an issue. |

Every religion believes their God is the only God. You don't think that with 3 billion people to look over that your God didn't hire some help to take some of the load off him? We have different gods for whatever life throws at you. The average wait time for our prayers to be answered is about half of those religions with only one diety
|
Quote:
For the most part people choose their religion based on two things: 1. Where they were born. 2. What their parents believed. That is it. Yet they all think their religion, chosen in this manner, is the only correct one. That where you were born and what your parents believed decides whether you burn in hell or go to heaven. But what if they all lead to the same God? |

This is why I don't even watch the news anymore.
