Being grilled. LMAO
|
He said it like it was, didn't sugar coat it ...
It's hard to have 2 players on your team that are the highest or close to the highest paid players at their position and said Chicago is enjoying Tibusky's rookie contract and the Rams are too. Some of the younger fans can't and won't understand how you can't mortgage a team for the next 7 years and still bring back other players on your team. Mack made it clear he wasn't going to play so the team made a move. I am fine with it, Liked him, wanted him here but it's a business and to pay him that kind of money would have made us a shit defense for the next 7 years overall, he would have done great 10-15 sacks a year but that won't stop the quick passes for large gains and damn sure won't improve the secondary and with him their would be no money to do it. |
Sorry but Mack is an elite level pass-rusher. Ken Norton being a shitty DC, and having a shitty secondary, doesn't mean anything to the loss they just took. It's a poor attempt to try and reason with the stupid move your dumb coach just made.
He's a guy that you have to find a way to pay. The Raiders are ****ing dumbasses for not giving him what he wanted. You keep elite caliber players that are just entering their prime....no matter what. |

Remember when King was supposedly a bad decision by Gruden?

People were bitching about him cutting a punter? Also: THIS is what you have to hang your hat on as a refutation if Grudens criticism? Jesus. |

Via Nicki Jhabvala of the Athletic, King had been checked out by trainers after the final punt, and he was limping in the locker room after the game.

[Eric Williams] Jon Gruden said he wanted to take Derwin James in the first round, but unfortunately they took a safety in the first round in 2016 (Karl Joseph) and one in the second round (Obi Melifonwu) in 2017. The Raiders selected LT Kolton Miller two picks before James in this year’s draft.

The funny thing is, the Raiders cut Obi and still need a S. |

Good thing they have him under contract for 9 3/4 more years.

Going west isn't hard, but going east is annoying. The last time I went to Europe I was grumpy and off-kilter for two or three days. It's a big mistake to leave later. I should place a bet against the Raiders that week. Actually, I should place a bet against the Raiders every week, now that I think about it. |

If you're a good team with crappy WR's it's not a bad idea...Baltimore? Green Bay?

That 5th year option kind of hurts. He's guaranteed 1 year for 14 million next year. Teams want to take that on for a player like Cooper?

Like many here have pointed out Gruden's biggest accomplishment is the first drive his team put together on the Rams for which he had a decade to prepare for. They can cling on to it until they move to Vegas.

I was just listening to Simms and Lefkoe and they said that Carr averaged 0.1 air-yards on completed passes last Sunday.
Is that true? My God in Heaven. FAX |

The team gave a 10-year, $100 million contract and complete control of the franchise to this towheaded freak, who last called a play in 2008 and has never been a personnel man. And what have they gotten out of their investment so far? A 1-5 record that should be 0-6 and some of the most embarrassing performances that any team has put forth during this young season. The 27-3 mushing they suffered at the hands of the Seahawks on Sunday constituted one of the saddest football games I’ve ever seen. The GIF at the top of this post, which shows Carr seemingly on the verge of tears after being sacked for the sixth and final time, is both genuinely depressing and already the defining moment of the Raiders’ season. Nothing better represents how quickly everything’s gone to shit than the quarterback who really and truly was good enough to earn a $125 million deal in 2017 blubbering, “Help help help help” while half-broken on the field LMAO |
Yikes is right, Mr. Buehler445. That, right there, is an amazing statistic. (If they're right.)
Probably not an NFL record, but if it is, not the one you want to see set by your franchise quarterback. Especially in a league where defenses are emasculated. FAX |

|
From that same article: LMAO
"So how did the Raiders manage to suck this bad? By essentially breaking the conventions of the game. The purpose of a passing offense is to move the ball down the field; the Raiders spent the game seeing what would happen if one was designed to do the opposite. Carr’s average air yards, which measures how many yards each pass travels down the field, was 0.1 yards. Here is what a visual representation of that looks like:" https://i.kinja-img.com/gawker-media...n2bbn76jzg.jpg |

It makes me just a little bit sad we end the season at home against the Raiders and there’s a better than average chance it’ll be Henne and not Mahomes who gets to shred their defense.

Honestly I don't see why green bay wouldn't send a 1st for Cooper. Same with another team that thinks it is on the cusp for Carr, a late 2nd or late 1st or the longer this goes the draft capital goes down.
