Inject this mother****er into this defensive veins directly
|
Thomas with the pick today...
|
Veach needs to pursue him aggressively but don’t get bent over. They’re gonna want rid of him one way or another. Don’t give in to their demands.

Only 600 more posts until Veaxh trades for him!
LET'S GO!! |
Well, if the alternative is drafting Breeland Speaks or Dorian O'Daniel, I'd rather just give up the picks. This team can't draft on defense.
|
He will only come here if Sutton is dead.

I wasn't to hot about signing him until the 2cnd half gut punch from this defense. If we could sign him for 2-3 years and get what's left in his tank then I say go for it. |
The time is NOW to go all in with this historic offense.
Mahomes on his rookie contract key players on offense in their prime and healthy. Veach must capitalize by fixing the defense as much as possible before the trade deadline. |
Quote:
Everyone says that you have to keep building for the future but the reality is we will never have an offense like the one we have right now again. Maybe 2019 too, that’s it. Go for it all. |
I wonder if Veach would do it without a new contract in place, or if he tries to work out a conditional deal. But if it's true that Dallas has already offered a 2nd, Seattle won't go for that.
If Thomas wants to, he can demand Dallas or nothing. |
**** it.
Let's trade one 2nd round pick for Earl Thomas, and see if Arizona will take the other for Patrick Pederson. ALL IN. |
Yep. Especially now with Peters potentially out the rest of the year.
|
Get Thomas now and that’s (presumably) one less need next offseason.
Yeah you use money on him, but they could then lock in on front 7 primarily and CB for the draft. |
I’m all in on this idea now.
We can win a ****ing SB with Thomas, Berry, and Sorensen down the stretch. Go for it. |

Especially in today’s NFL with salary cap realities and the window of salary cap flexibility with Mahomes on his rookie contract, the Chiefs have to capitalize. |
This defense will never be really good by any means BUT if you replace their current safety group with EB and Earl, I mean... that’s the best safety group in the league.
Let’s do the damn thing. |
I would hate to play in this scheme. No one likes backing up all the time like the French in WWII. Then you get a motivational talk from a senior citizen with dementia.
|
Longshot? shortshot? at least we gotta shot!

I'm cool if/or not we get Earl Thomas I assume it be like getting Johny Cueto for a year and win it all but he maybe high cost and we could just hold pat and do this through the draft and build a dynasty one for the ages.
|
Meh, doubt it happens.

He'll be 30 in May and wants a long term deal. Not happy with his $8.5M base salary this year. (Last year of his current contract.) About to be fined by Seahags for missing practice. Openly asking another team to trade for him. Smart money says he won't land with the Chiefs.

And Seattle would probably get a 3rd or 4th round comp pick for him so they definitely want a second I'd say. |
Wha kind of deal is a 29 year old safety looking for?

The guy does deserve what he's asking for, Seattle has a ton of money and won't pay him. He's been an elite player forever.
|
If we wanted a Seattle safety we should have kept Bradley McDougald, when we had him!
|
I'm not sure we can afford the Earl Of Whack.
Wish we could, though. FAX |
Similar structure as the Watkins deal is fine.
Low cap hit year 1, medium cap hit year 2 ($12 million), big cap hit year 3 ($17 million) with a way out |

Matter of fact it's probably the smart thing to do because he's likely to be productive longer than Berry. So you still have a vet leader when you walk on Berry in 2 years. |

Thomas's game should age well as a safety in the mold of Eric Weddle, Ed Reed and Charles Woodson into his thirties. I think it would be a good investment.

You don’t think there’s a chance we trade one of our OLB’s? Is it possible we trade Ford or Houston and roll with Speaks, Kpass and Ford/Houston and whoever? Would they trade Allen Bailey? |

For a restructure you simply look for a guy with a huge cap number and you can push some money to the end by paying it to him now. If you want to cut a guy soon you don't do it..but if you say know for a fact that Travis Kelce is going to be here for 6 more years and you will likely sign him again after you restructure him and don't worry about it. You're basically just pushing his cap hit into the future, you don't do that for a guy you want to get rid of though. |

Thomas with the int. Damn

can we get that guy please
thanks |
2 Picks for Thomas.
|
Earl Thomas, still a great player.
|
The price is going up.
|
Maybe he's playing balls out because he wants someone to go damn that dude has still got it.

And the dude had a streak where he played 107 straight regular season games... So apparently, he’s pretty durable... 29 isn’t old for him.
|
I just find it hard to believe we’re willing to invest that much into our safety group.
|
Dude has 2 picks today.
