I don't know, but Denver was cold AF last year.

Not to mention Lubbock, Texas gets pretty ****ing cold.......

I googled for a solid 2 minutes and came up empty. One thing he has proven, though, is he can succeed with little/no experience.

ptlyon 01-11-2019 03:14 PM

The forecast for tomorrow is HOT. DAMN HOT. HOT AND WET. That's good if you with a lady but ain't no good out in the jungle!

carcosa 01-11-2019 03:15 PM

Yeah I'm not too worried about whether Patrick Mahomes can throw in the snow

The past 40 years have taught me that 90% of the time KC freaks out about an upcoming snow storm the result is *wet fart*

But hey keep it coming how else is Price Chopper gonna sell all these bags of salt

'Hamas' Jenkins 01-11-2019 03:17 PM

We're getting quite a bit in CoMo. Roads are already terrible.

gblowfish 01-11-2019 03:18 PM

Welp....looks like we'll be wet and cold then.
Won't be the first time.
Bring it!

Looking at the system on Radar it is really shaping up to dump snow on KC all night. The line has stalled moving, and is just being fed from the south.

Looks like 6 inches at least

Six inches has a large variance depending on opinion, or so I've heard

HonestChieffan 01-11-2019 03:22 PM

32 south of KC and starting to stick. Should be an interesting weekend...

Well its not the size of the snow accumulation, its more about the motion of the system.

Priest31kc 01-11-2019 03:23 PM

I honestly have very little concern about Mahomes or our offense in the snow/cold/wind.

Overall, I think the game will be starting in the temperature bucket of "not a big deal" http://archive.advancedfootballanaly...n-passing.html

I have no clue why people think this HELPS the Chiefs.

The Chiefs are the worst rushing defense in the NFL. If there is anything the Chiefs are good at defensively, it's stopping the pass. We have ****ing terrible middle linebackers and safeties. We get obliterated by great running schemes.

Having it snow during the game is the absolute worst possible outcome. It doesn't mean we will lose - but it SIGNIFICANTLY neutralizes the league MVP in Patrick Mahomes. Mahomes is good when he's running around, zigging and zagging, throwing at weird arm angles. This is going to be almost impossible in snow. He's going to have to stay in the pocket, and we are going to have to be successful in the run and hold onto the football.

The only concern here is a slick football.

Chillax, friend. Mahomes is adaptable. Whatever modifications are necessary to his mechanics to negotiate the terrain, he will make. And best part is he won’t even have to consciously do it.

Indy is only good running the ball when they have a good lead and are running out the clock.

Kiimo 01-11-2019 03:34 PM

As much as I love a joke at Missouri's expense, after Brownback I don't think the quality of roads (or schools, for that matter) is where we want to hit 'em.

JoeyChuckles 01-11-2019 03:35 PM

Darksky.net is now estimating the end of the heavy snow around 7-8am tomorrow morning, earlier than expected. There is also the potential of a dry slot moving in from the southwest, which could limit accumulations.

If we could all send good thoughts to send the Low bolting towards the East right now please. That would clear it out faster.

Kiimo 01-11-2019 03:37 PM

If the snow is not falling, if the field is not wet or cold, if the ball is dry...the question is "did anybody hear it?"

I may be mixing some metaphors.

4-6 inches is the official estimate from NWS. Ending tomorrow afternoon, but the heavy stuff should be done in the morning Saturday.

good. As long as Kelsey and Hill can get out of their breaks without slipping or falling down, we are good to go.

BTW

The reason it is good for the Chiefs is Andrew Luck in low temperature games is bad.

The Colts have one of the best offensive lines in football. I bet they are chomping at the bit for this one. As it gets colder, as it gets wetter - advantage to superior offensive line and run schemes.

They actually don’t. They are above avg but by no means are they elite. Luck has had one of the quickest releases this year which makes it easier for his O-line.

I think this means he's in KC and I hope he's not being literal like he broke into Mahomes's apartment and is texting me from his bedroom.

If he was a rookie, maybe it would be more of a worry.

I would think he would have intentionally practiced in cold and snowy, freezing rain weather, etc. last winter.

TrebMaxx 01-11-2019 04:51 PM

CoMo has been getting heavy snow since around noon today. I estimate 4+ inches on the ground right now. It is forecast to snow even harder over the night time hours and let off in the morning.

I think that by game time in KC it won't be all that bad, but that opinion is from looking a webcams around KC a few minutes ago.

I'm sorry I'm freaking out about the weather. Maybe I'm just nervous. When I heard it was going to be 46 degrees and sunny a week ago I figured we'd roll these clowns by 17 points. The weather just makes me nervous. And it increases the chance of luckiness and flukes to come into play.

The AP says “champ at the bit” is “the original and better form.”

But, Webster’s adds that “chomp at the bit” is a variation.

What’s more, no less an authority than William Safire weighed in 31 years ago, saying that “to spell it champing at the bit when most people would say chomping at the bit is to slavishly follow outdated dictionary preferences.”

Chomping at the bit is like using literally to mean figuratively. People have used it wrong so many times that they added it to the dictionary.

Language evolves mostly because dumbshits pronounce it incorrectly.

It's CHAMPING and if you've ever been around horses you'd think anybody who says otherwise is a moron.

Please direct your attention to the bit. Notice how it is behind the teeth. This makes actually chomping the bit impossible.

I'm literally dying of Tree Aids every time I see this written wrong.

The field conditions for Patrick Mahomes to unleash holy hell on this Colts defense will be just fine. Hope just a little bit of moisture and bite lingers in the air to make Luck uncomfortable.

The only thing I'm sort of worried about is all the fans being able to show up at the game. If even a couple hundred decide to say "**** it" due to weather, that shaves off just enough home energy so that Arrowhead gets downgraded from ****ing house of mayhem to "ehh... it's pretty loud, I guess"

Offered free tickets in the lower bowl to some friends of mine since they didn't buy them after being season ticket holders this year.

They declined because of the weather.

The audacity of this mother****er, to exude such hubris when his team is going up against the #1 offense, led by the league MVP, on the road, in the elements, with a QB who performs significantly worse outdoors, and a defense that couldn't generate pressure against the worst OL in the league last week...
