Vita Vea could be a real game changer if we were playing in the 1980s.
Too bad the forward pass is more important now. |

It's hilarious to see how many of you there are that keep referring to last year's 49er defense. The D you'll face today brings it's own unique set of problems for you...

I like how Tampa fan doesn't realize we've already played most of the best defenses in the NFL this year. And that Tampa's defense was one of the most overrated units in the playoffs.
KC's defense might have been the most underrated, especially down the stretch. It's clear the national media doesn't understand that, so I'm not surprised boomer bob down in Tampa doesn't know it, either. |

The defense that can’t handle KC in man D, has one OK coverage LB and one really bad one, is playing a safety with a torn labrum, and another coming back from an ankle injury? So frightened. |

Bow down. Look at the ass that started this game thread. SEE WHAT HAPPENED? https://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=320346 |
All I know is if Brady had just torched KC for 450, jacking around with red-zone trick plays about to go up 24-0..and just missed on a 80 yard TD...I wouldn't be placing my hopes on DT that just played 15 snaps.
That fat-ass is no Arron Donald.... They SHOULD be concerned about C. Jones wrecking Tongue-kissers shit...he was the #2 rated DL in pressures. |
Quote:
What I think plays out it is Andy calls pass plays 70-80% of the time in the first half, and the remaining percentage is RPOs or option runs. I don’t think our running backs will tote it more than 5 times in the first half unless the Tampa D plays the RPO like Buffalo did back in October, just bailing at the linebacker level and giving them 5+ a carry. Andy is going to force Bowles’ hand with an aggressive opening attack where it’s the stress of pass after pass. They’ll either have to play the double team man coverage with regularity, or be caught in looks on 1st and 2nd down where Kelce or Hill can hurt them. Then, 2nd half, defense is worn down... the runs will come with more regularity as they close it out. |

How do you plan on stopping sweep motion? Screens? Jet Sweeps? Are you doubling Tyreek? Kelce? Both? And if you're doubling both, can you really trust Watkins/Hardman in man-to-man coverage for a good chunk of snaps? What about the offensive side of the ball? Our secondary is pretty elite, even if the media only knows about Tyrann Mathieu and MAYBE L'Jarius Sneed. Tom hasn't looked great either. Truly, what's different about the Bucs this time around to where they can pull off a win against the Chiefs OUTSIDE OF us repeatedly shooting ourselves in the foot or some other outside miracle. |

Chiefs win by 2+ scores. Just like they have in every playoff game they’ve won when Mahomes played 4 quarters (and you’re not going to convince me we don’t win by 2+ scores against the Browns if he stays in).

What a great time to be a fan of the Chiefs! All my life I wished and hoped we would be where we are today! I was beginning to doubt we would ever make it to the big game in my life time and here we are "Running it Back!
A great big thank you to the Chiefs organization for finally putting it all together. Today is the day that the Torch is passed, Mahomes is the perfect representative to accept the Torch from the old man! |

Are we sure we even have a bucs fan? Maybe the same guy keeps logging on every week with a new team. Because it all sounds exactly the same.

Chiefs were coasting in the first match-up...they are now going to unleash their full "all-or-nothing" playbook. Bowles will be hoping his second-half adjustments in week 12 were good enough...and the Chiefs somehow lost the game tape. |

your troll game or Tom Brady's arm |
The Browns had an elite running game and a D Line as good as the Buccs with a slightly better secondary. Chiefs led 19-3 at the half (should've been 23-3). Mahomes absolutely shredded that defense. And the Browns run game was non-existent.
Buccs don't even have a run game. Their offense is pretty much designed on the pass. Our secondary is Top 3 in the entire league. We have arguably the best safety duo in Matthieu and Thornhill. Shutdown corners like Sneed, Breeland and Fenton. That mighty Bills offense was completely muted throughout the game. I just don't see how this is not a double digit win for the Chiefs. |
Quote:
The 49ers were superior in every way for the matchup against KC. Crazy good offense that was efficient and also was dominant in the run game for big chunks and explosive plays. Dynamic TE who was a huge threat to make big chunk plays. That matches up really well against KC’s D. Really excellent defense that pressures with 4, plays great zone concepts, and has an elite pass coverage MLB. Bosa/Buckner/Armstead/Ford >>> JPP, Barrett, Suh, Bea Fred Warner is better than David or White Secondary had better S and a scheme designed to frustrate Kc’s offense. And it didn’t matter. The Bucs fit in nicely with the Bills/Titans/Ravens tier of teams. They’re a good squad. Just not good enough. |
So happy that Thornhill gets to play this time. Spags needs to blitz early and often. I expect Sorenson on Gronk so Honey Badger can go wherever he wants
