I remember that story.

A group of us used to go to Roger's AR in March for a few days golf outing. One day in particular when we were down there the Japan tsunami happened.

One of the people that was there was one of our councilmen. At that time the red light and speed cameras were a hot topic.

We were in the hotel room playing cribbage and having cocktails watching the footage. One of the scenes was the boats from the harbor floating through the streets, and going under flashing red street lights.

One of the guys says "Hey J, look at how much money they're making over there! Ding! A hundred bucks! Ding a hundred bucks!"

Everybody was rolling and J just said giggling, "**** you"

They make them a civil offense, like a parking ticket. If you don't pay, they can send you to collection and not renew your registrations or Driver's license. Des Moines and CR have them on freeways...

Cedar Falls lifer here and I work for the City of Loo, in fact about ready to retire after 34 years. Lets keep that on the downlow as the mayor isn't aware yet.

Last we were there, my dude was making stuff for John Deere and I won a lighting contest downtown for the firm I worked for. Grieving or not, a bitch is competitive.

My good friend, Don Ross, was an All American High School basket ball player fro Waterloo. But that was back in the 60's. I wrestled with the Tucker bros from Waterloo back in the early 80's. I've always had good thoughts about Waterloo.

My maternal grandparents had a farm in the southeast of the state. I was too young to remember, but the stories have stayed with me, from the goose who chased me through the yard to what happened when the cats had kittens. Into the bucket of water they would go. Can't have the cats taking over the farm.

Well... I moved from living in Iowa my whole life to Bronco country so.. Idk what that tells you.

All honesty, Iowa is a great state and Pella is a pretty solid place to move a family too. People are nice and you'll make some new friends in no time as long as you don't mind Busch Light. Its gotta beat living in Wichita tbf.
