I guess I'm just continually stunned that people get so scurred of a team that - yes, is loaded - BUT has a SEVENTH ROUND PICK rookie QB leading them in the playoffs. He had a nice run at the end of the season. But this is the playoffs people. My hunch is that the 49ers will likely pull this game out...defense or CMC saves them against a lesser opponent.
But going forward, probably ought to consider them like all those loaded Chiefs teams with QB's not named Mahomes.

There's always so much talk about December momentums and bullshit, yet it's almost the opposite.... forget everything you've watched in the regular season, because this is the ****ing playoffs.

Thing is, it's not just the offense. In fact, you could say that the offense is almost an afterthought. That defense is legitimately elite, and maybe even more stacked than the offense. And it says a lot about that offense that they can repeatedly trot a 7th-rd QB out there and beat NFL teams like rented mules.

in other words, it doesn't really matter which QB they put out there. It's all the weapons and the defense. The QB is literally an afterthought. Not a handful of NFL playoff teams can say that. Maybe just this one.

Counter-point: Purdy is as much a reason as any that the 49ers have looked strong the last portion of the season. As such, they need him to replicate his regular season play to sustain success in the playoffs. And again...just close your eyes and think of all those Chiefs elite defenses with generic QB at the helm. If Purdy becomes something, that's a fantastic story. Right now...I see a QB on par with DeBerg, Krieg, Bono, Grbac.
