NFL economics are probably closer to Imperialism.

Wait until Mecca finds out that corporations are raising the prices of their products and making the products smaller.

Don't look at this if you don't want to be irrationally triggered..

I'm just hoping they can't corner the market with EA on the football sims for the rest of my life, the rest is easy enough to get around.

For my part I only stream Chiefs games 99% of the time, if they're not playing I'll gladly watch whatever cable is offering... luckily theres a nearby CBS affiliate that carries almost every game of ours

Sometimes streaming is great, other times its a constantly buffering mess or just flat out quits on me, which then becomes a fight that sometimes isn't even worth it

Bottom line is the NFL are the absolute greediest bastards in sports, they probably rake in more annually than all other leagues combined but its just never enough for them... preseason this year was the worst damn thing I've yet seen, SUPER limited selections if I wasn't lucky enough to have NFLN included in my cable package

They just keep making it harder, and harder, and ever increasingly expensive

I'm not paying 5-6 different bills, they can eat shit

If it's a chiefs game I don't want to risk a bad stream. I'll just go to a bar 1990's style. But only need to once or twice a season.

anyone have illegal streams for MIAA football

There is literally not a legit way for me to stream the Avs no matter how much I'm willing to pay for it.

I’m an Avs fan as well, but I’m in MD. Damn near every game was available on ESPN+ Those that weren’t were typically on Sling. Off the top of my head, the only two games I didn’t get were against the Caps

nvm, just saw your location

Yep. Blackouts.

Yes, a VPN works. The point is that I have to resort to stuff like that to watch the local team. I mean, they're not even on local cable. It's ridiculous.

Capitalism CAN suck ass. Id say in 90% of cases its quite successful. In cases such as medicine and things that are needs and not wants then its different. You WANT to watch a Chiefs or NFL game. You NEED healthcare. These things are fundamentally different and people in todays world for some reason really, really struggle with money and finance. They will make 50k a year yet have a 2k phone and have $200 in streaming service. These are simply bad choices.

It’s especially weird with hockey because most teams are always sold out or damned near it, with exception to your typical fair weather markets. Wild that they’d blackout the Avs in CO, though. I can understand when your team is shit and the stands are empty, but when you can’t get in the door anyway? GTFO

Not just the entire state of CO, but every state has an NHL blackout team... so like all of Nebraska is blacked out of Avs games, even if you didn't previously get Altitude.

I didn't get FSN in AZ on Dish and couldn't ever watch Yotes games.

And it's apparent worse in Canada... many on reddit said it was a complete shitshow become one of the options went away last season.

L.A. Chieffan 08-31-2023 10:51 PM

Just a heads up if you're in college or have kids in college there is a college discount for Sunday ticket, it's only $109.

Also if you have Verizon you can add 5G home Internet for about $45 a month and get Sunday ticket completely free and then cancel the service in March if you don't want it anymore.

Often the streams are higher quality than what you are getting on your paid service.

People making 50k end up with money issues because it's hard to get ahead when rent is 1500 dollars and your utility companies then jack up their rates mixed in with sky rocketing food prices.

$1500? Where the **** are you living at? That’s like a rundown studio out here. Anything halfways decent is around $1800-2000.

Well Missouri...

But yet shit is up everywhere. It just baffles me when someone blames a person for being bad with money as to why they are poor. In America people are poor are homeless because "it's their fault"

Fact,

Some of these streams are in full 4k because that the stream qaulity. Much easier to get 4k via internet than satalite or cable.

FOX did 4k playoff games last year, but aside from that no one is broadcasting in 4k yet.

I think ABC/ESPN still does 720 for most of their broadcasts. At least they did recently.

FlaChief58 09-01-2023 12:31 PM

The streams today are incredible, especially compared to when I started streaming them. There were more than a few times I had to head to the bar mid game because of shitty streams. Now, it's just as good as cable imo

There are tons of shitty houses out there for purchase that have tons of space and are cheap. But they aren't purty. Ppl must have pretty.

Groves 09-02-2023 07:49 AM

Does anyone have experience with Amazon Prime’s Thursday games?

If kickoff is at 7:20, can I start the stream at the beginning of the game at 8:30?

Will they let you start it at the beginning even if the game is still happening live?

Or do I have to be there to pause it at 7:20 to be able to do that?

Its around $2300-$2500 down here. The people who work where the jobs are, cant afford to live close to the work. It's a real problem down here. They passed a law that 20% of all new construction must be reserved for "workforce" housing. Prices that the waitress, bartender etc, can afford on their salary.
