Shrug. The Chiefs don’t seem to play better in their home stadium. Yesterday was a good example of that.

My eyes tell me that the KC Chiefs (my favorite team of all time) need to get their shit together and the crowd needs to get louder I was there yelling as loud as I could every down on defense but it wasn't good enough to over come two turnovers back to back touchdowns for the Raiders (I hate the Goddamn Raiders) gifting the Raiders 14 points.

Reid's playbook SOP.

If they load up the WR room next year, it will be Air Mahomes once again.

I can’t even imagine the type of person you have to be, to be this elated over a regular season win. I guess when you are bitch slapped by the Chiefs every single year and you never go anywhere and every season you’re biggest thing to look forward too his at what point your HC is going to be fired then yea I guess it makes sense.

Still hard to imagine being that big of a clown to spend minutes of a short life on a message board trolling a team that has utterly dominated you for a decade over one measly win where your QB didn’t complete a pass for 3 quarters lmao.

Pretty sadly hilarious though.

They don’t have dominant edge rushers. Say what you want about the raiders but they have dominant edge rushers. Our tackles are our worst weakness. PM can overcome a lot but instant pressure is hard for any qb to overcome.. I don’t like our chances against the browns b/c they have stronger edge rushers. I also like how we matchup defensively against the ravens. Our DBs can cover their WRs. And we have speed at LB to help contain Lamar. Plus, we’ve had slumps before. Remember when defenses started having two high safeties and it took us a long time to adjust? I know this is much worse, a different universe of worse but with the right matchup and a little luck. We can definitely be in the mix. PM and Kelce are competitors and they will keep fighting to fix this. I’d rather the problem be on offense than defense because I have more faith that we can turn it around. I also get the fact that we could be one and done in the playoffs. I’m just thinking many are underestimating the likelihood that we can turn this around. We could possibly win it all if we get 24 points every game with this defense.. Yall really don’t believe that Andy and Pat can get us 24 points a game? Come on. Especially with the right matchup? Please. Yall gotta be kidding me.

This is sort of where I am at.

If this defense brings it for four quarters, we mostly just need the offense and special teams not to eff it up and just put a few drives together.

Yes, at the moment that seems unlikely. But I'm not willing to completely give up on Mahomes and company.

They may well be one and done, but I'll Belize it when I see it.

Yeah, I know we're all exhausted from the multitude of issues and any "if they just..." seems tired at this point, but it's not like everything has to come together perfect or even close to it.

Defense - show up and stay healthy.
Mahomes - get your mojo back.

Boom, they're now in any game they play and we can all forget yesterday ever happened. (also not saying they'll win a SB dropping key passes and taking dumb penalties and giving edge rushers zero resistance, etc.)

For real. They seem to play better on the road. I remember when the Arrowhead advantage was a real advantage. Now you see these cheese and wine ****s sitting down golf clapping like they're at a Seals and Croft concert. Opposing offenses don't have problems with the crowd noise like they used to.

At the end of the day, we have the best coach, qb and one of the better defenses.

And we have championship experience.

No I don’t expect us to get to the SB but I won’t give up until we’re out.

We have a pretty good RB also.

If we get our LT back before the playoffs, today's game would make me cautiously hopeful.

Chiefs are capable of beating anyone if they can stop shooting themselves in the foot with killer mistakes (turnovers, penalties, dropped balls). It's unlikely that they will be able to do it, but you never know. They have a fighting chance now, and that's all we can ask for at the moment.

Fun to look at this now. Some here underestimate this coaching staff. Spags is great and Andy is unbelievable. And we have Mahomes.

Penalties constantly that kill our drives or save the other team on 3rd and long. Both happened AGAIN today.

Our Oline is horrific.
Turnovers
****ing play calling is so predictable teams seems to be in our huddle listening to the play.
Mistakes

They just don't all suddenly fix themselves in week 16.

I appreciate your answer and optimism but don't be shocked at how this season ends.

Oh hey, I'm NOT shocked.

Just think, a few weeks ago TEX was following me around like a giddy school girl gloating about "being right" all along... oh ****, he blew his load early again.

I guess it's too much to ask 6 years into this to maybe not do things like call it a season weeks before the it ends and then prance around like you're the genius in the room when something like Christmas Day happens.

Perhaps stay in the moment a bit and call it what it was... a seriously shitty game, and not the end of the season.

I know it would be too much to ask to listen to those who figured it out back in 2019 or sooner when we say it'll be fine and to just wait to see what happens. Despite Christmas, the signs were there... they were always going to narrow down their receiver group, Mahomes was always going to flip the switch, they would always pull some tricks out.

None of that is hindsighting... hell, they've still had drops and dumb mistakes, with MVS' two catches being the one big surprise. I called it weeks ago... defense stays healthy, Mahomes gets some mojo.

Everything was expected, of course with the "if" of how much could they clean up with smaller margins for error.

And to be clear, there was absolutely nothing wrong with doubts after that shitshow in Christmas Day, this is about calling it a season and the effort in threads like this telling people to give up all hope.

And don't come at me that I'm the petty one here and "we should all be celebrating, not fighting"... don't deflect. We read your bullshit threads, I had TEX stalking me for a week. You made this place more miserable than it needed to be, even when it had every right to be miserable.

So yeah, you can take some shit for this in return. Just own it and maybe not be so weak next year (jk, looking forward to your meltdowns next season).

Cheers.

1. I NEVER, EVER give up on Mahomes. It was his supporting cast that constantly let him down with penalties, turnovers and drops.

2. Heading into the playoffs, NO ONE and I mean NO ONE here can honestly say they were 100% confident we would play great, make it to the SB and would win it. We all had varying degrees of doubt. If you claim otherwise, you are 100% full of shit.

3. I am totally shocked. Andy Reid has become the greatest coach in NFL history IMHO for taking a team that kept ****ing up in nearly every regular season game to playing nearly flawless in the playoffs. That is some impressive shit.

4. Steve Spagnola deserves more credit than Andy this season as our D kept us in every game except the Denver game. What an impressive and dominating performance across the board. Stunning.

5. The fact Las Vegas kept putting us as a playoff underdog tells you they had substantial doubt too and they are the professional linemakers.

Final note - My eyes tell me this: The Chiefs turned their season around 180 degrees and are now a back-to-back Super Bowl Champion! :thumb:

Staying away from the GDTs is the correct decision. Can't imagine how miserable people were being.

It was over when Mahomes threw his INT.

I dropped in once last night, saw two people compare the game to the Bucs SB, and saw my own way out... LMAO

This is why I never post immediately after losses.

My eyes tell me that we're back to back WORLD CHAMPIONS.

My heart feels we're GONNA ****ING THREE-PEAT.

Jet Chip Wasp 02-12-2024 11:48 AM

What do my eyes tell me today? We are still the Champions of the NFL world and we are now officially a dynasty.

What my heart feels today? Never bet against Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid again!

My eyes tell me that you're a moron. My heart also feels that you're a moron.

Never underestimate this Chiefs team. Not while Mahomes has at least one leg to stand on.

Especially in a playoff series. The best QBs win more often than not in the playoffs and we have the best.

Seems like my head is pretty smart.

They are needed to maintain balance.

It must happen because the football universe demands it.

You know what though? This still won't stop people from whining when we have a few loses next year and have a few bad games. Still gonna have those miserable ****s (Tex, Pete, Red Dawg, etc) saying this team has no chance.

I'll give Pete credit in the GDT. He was level headed and telling everyone to believe.

I have the balls to admit I was wrong and listen to the pussies all pile on.

Some of you think you have never been wrong on anything on CP and are always right on everything. I got news for you, you aren't.
