With that said, this is a prototypical Andy Reid WR and he will be in a good offense for his skillset. Despite his speed Worthy can struggle as an X WR. |

If you compare high school 100 m times you’ll see. However it is likely he has much more flexibility than Tyreek due to less muscle mass |

I agree with keysor. Worthy seems to have a lot of flexibility and bend in his hips. Something mecole doesn’t have.
|
One interesting thing might be that both Andy and Veach mentioned kickoffs. They're clearly thinking about the new kickoff rules and trying to think ahead to put a guy back there who can take advantage of them because they're expecting way more returns.

I’m guessing he will get some looks with the new kickoff rules. A little bit of added value there perhaps.

Obviously Bryan Thomas Jr fits that role but he was long gone. So I don't think this is a bust. I think we got on base but don't see this as a double or triple. Hollywood and Worthy will keep teams in 2 High and the ball will go to Kelce and Rice, but now there won't be a million bodies near them. I think our offense is now back to top 5 but Worthy is mostly a decoy. My fear is Veach talking about him doing "many things". Please no. Don't use him like Rice last year or he will be broken. Let him run fast every play down the sideline. |

He's fast enough to pull Rashee's keys on a Dallas Interstate
|

But now, he’s been forced to learn that patience and just got major speed back at WR. He might have another level in him. |

We never had a Rashee Rice when we had Tyreek.
Watkins was good when healthy and motivated. Juju did some nice things but didn’t have Tyreek. We might see some crazy shit. |

Heck, why not bring back Hardmann? We gave up two picks for him, so we must like him. Add some more speed.
|
A few points: 1. Worthy is one of the youngest players in the draft. He will continue to fill out. 2. He is the PERFECT compliment to Rashee Rice. 3.) Not only does he have ELITE straight line speed, his wiggle and ball tracking ability is off the charts.

Get ready to get back what was missing last year. Gonna see a whole lot of plays like this where the Chiefs stress both deep safeties on a brilliant play design and get one of them wide open. And yeah just try to pull those safeties deep. Rice and Kelce will destroy them when they do that
Gonna be a lot of fun <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Zn9rCbU1Tfo?si=Ly_CkCL7qIKo3Td_" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe> |

Justin Watson just became way more valuable to this team. |

On a positive note, his family seemed pumped of where he landed. I wish the best for the kid now that he is a Chief. I really wanna be proven wrong.

He's developed the ability now to know exactly WHEN to throw it deep instead of forcing it. I think the best way you can pose what's coming is...what if MVS and Toney and Watson had caught every ****ing pass last year? |
I wish him nothing, but the best especially since the Chiefs traded in front of the Bill to get him. He'll need to bulk up to stay healthy if he's going to be used in the slot. It will be interesting to see how the Chiefs use him since he can line up virtually anywhere on the field. Mahomes loves these types of WRs, and has excelled with these type of speedy WRs going back to his college years. So, I'm excited for the possibilities of great things to come.

This isnt 1990 we arent sending this dude across the middle with Ronnie Lott waiting to take off his head. They are playing flag football out there in the passing game. Grand slam pick.

I can't stop masturbating lmfao

His route running and pure WR skills are better than Tyreek's were coming out.
Remember it took Tyreek a full year. |

Really nice hands, too. He plucks like crazy.

I'm confused I guess. Why would we line him up in the slot primarily? His highlight tapes suggest he lines up outside a lot. |
He's everything we wanted from Mecole, and then some.

The Chiefs wanted him and Hollywood to take the top off and back the safeties off. I am sure Nagy will dial up some silly gadget stuff near the LOS but that's not his value. |

Based on the film, Worthy is 165lbs with an apparent 225lb mentality. There's your "Alpha."

A deep threat who can track the ball it coukd be fun.
Even if people hate this pick even the pundits are afraid to say anything negative. We pretty much broke everyone in the NFL . |
He has those flexible ankles and hips that Toney has and better speed that Hardman / Mvs

Next year's offense will look like 2022 again. |

We're going back to the 2021 offense MINIMUM. I'd say split the difference between 2020 and 2021. Pringle and Robinson and no RB to speak of were a hard limit on that offense. |
Zay Flowers sent from 170 to 182 lbs in a few months before the combine. Worthy can do something similar

If I trust Andy on anything, it’s helping a player bulk up.
|
In his rookie 2008 season, Jackson signed with the Eagles. As a rookie he recorded 1,448 all-purpose yards working as a receiver and punt returner.
The Eagles realized this small rookie's talent and set him up for the starting role. In 2009, Jackson attained 1,734 all-purpose yards and 12 touchdowns. A crazy fast 4.35 40 yard dash, Jackson leaves defenders in the dust. You don't need to be big if you can outrun everybody. Jackson is already a Pro Bowler, and he is just getting started. In the next few years, Jackson could become the top receiver in the NFL, dominating defenses every single Game Day. |

So there won't be many deep balls. It will be Mahomes throwing to Kelce and Rice over and over with some Pacheco sprinkled in. Hopefully we get some more bodies and load manage them right. I expect ugly offense but efficient. |

Yea, the Chiefs got Hollywood and Worthy to just be decoys! |

Maybe. Some guys just seriously have a hard time gaining weight. Had a friend (nickname was "Bones") that played WR for the Wash U. football team. 6'2" 155 lbs as a freshman. Took him two years to put on 10 lbs. They had him eating 8 meals a day or something. He practically was eating every 90 minutes or so. Not saying Worthy won't be able to do it, or that I don't believe he can do it. Just saying that some guy's metabolisms are spun up so fast that gaining weight is a real struggle. I really hope Worthy isn't like my friend. |
Quote:
We grabbed MVS as the vertical decoy (which I called at that time) and teams were still respecting that enough that Kelce and JuJu feasted. Last year MVS was no longer given any respect and teams walked up and the offense crumbled. Mecole was added but he didn't scare anyone either. With Hollywood and Worthy we now again threaten teams again deep so that everyone MUST play safeties back. That will be a return to the 2022 style offense where its Kelce and Rice now dominating the middle of the field with way more space to operate. |
Quote:
Desean was a really smart football player, and by all accounts he was as intense and focused as they come. Worked his ass off from Day 1. |

Rice, Hollywood, Worthy >>>> JuJu, MVS, Watson This is a totally different group than we've ever had. There's no comparison. |

After we took Worthy, a few Bills fans were coping by saying they didn’t want him and would rather have Leggette anyway. It was clearly before they traded back again and let the Panthers take him. Posts moments before disaster. |

Brown/Worthy is greater than MVS/Hardman. And Rice is greater than JuJu. It's not 2022 offense, my dude. It's 2022 offense on roids. |
