I'm not a huge ref conspiracy guy, but it does make me a little nervous that winning this game would put us so far ahead. The league is not going to want us resting starters for the Christmas Day game in week 17.

This game is absolutely massive for HOA.

If we win we're basically up 4 games, and it's almost a lock we get it. If we lose, there's a 1 game difference.

I think we'll see 2 to 3 calls that make you want to throw your TV out the windows. Reading through this thread and it's like some people haven't watched the Chiefs the last five seasons. We've struggled in every season but we keep building and it comes together at the end on both offense and defense. "Shit team", "a real QB" is just some whiney ass BS. We didn't play our best game and Denver played probably their best game of the year so far. Division games are usually tough, hard fought and close and that's what the Denver game was but we still won. If we score TDs instead of FGs it's probably not close. From what I've seen, Bills fans don't expect to win. I think that's assuming 2-3 of their receivers can't go.

They're trying to talk themselves into "losing the regular season game will make it more likely we win a playoff rematch."

Right now the Chargers and Ravens are the 5/6 seed and both beat Denver H2H so they’re firmly in that 7 seed battle with the Bengals.

I think Buffalo gets the 2 seed bc Baltimore and Pittsburgh play each other twice and the rest do that division.

TBH, I wouldn't want to face those opponents either as the #2 seed. The Bengals have tons of weapons and play the Chiefs well, while the Broncos have no weapons and always plays the Chiefs well. Tough games either way.

That makes this game Sunday that much more important. Clinch the top seed and relax the first weekend.

We were rather fortunate to face a crumbling Miami in the first playoff game a season ago. That was a favorable matchup for KC, plus the weather element. The Bills had their own favorable matchup against Pittsburgh in the first playoff game last year. There's no telling who you'd face this season as the #2 or #3 seed.
