I feel better going into the playoffs with him this year than I did in 2022. He had a 75% FG conversion rate going into the playoffs in 2022. This year he's at 84%. Think he'll be nails as usual in the playoffs.

Something isn't right after the last Denver Game. My guess is it's in his head because he's what - 3 weeks cleared?

We roll with him until he gives us reason not to.

I mean, realistically, we roll with him come hell or high water. It's not like we're going to bring in Matthew Wright for the Super Bowl.

Deberg_1990 01-05-2025 10:00 PM

I don’t like that knee bend thing he does now.

petegz28 01-05-2025 10:10 PM

I'll admit I have had my doubts about him in past seasons but damn, dude missed a 50+ yard FG today in a game that meant dick. He missed I believe one other since he returned and that was on a play the entire ST couldn't get their shit together.

Not worried.

He's had mini-slumps before.

He doesn't miss game winners. He might miss a kick or two but when the game is on the line he's automatic.

I guess he did it here, but it’s not quite as pronounced

He did that to compensate for a partial tear in the plant leg, right?

It is starting to bring up the memories from a few years ago when an extra point was a crap shoot. :(

Remember how that turned out?

BWillie 01-05-2025 10:51 PM

Trust in Buttkicker. The more reps he gets the better he will get.

In58men 01-05-2025 10:53 PM

Before the snap he supposedly said “**** the Bengals”.

jerryaldini 01-05-2025 10:57 PM

If it were a problem it's one aspect of the game they can easily identify in practice. Since he's been back he's made a couple 44 yarders as his long.

Make no mistake Butker is not 100% healthy. It won't have lingering effects next season due to rest and recovery.

He will likely need surgery in the offseason.

They are discussing it some On 810 this morning. His left knees bend/plant leg this year is much more pronounced than in previous years. Go compare his kicks from previous years to this year.

Shaid 01-07-2025 09:29 AM

He looked a bit off prior to the Denver game. He still looked off in the Denver game. Having a couple weeks off will help but I'm less confident that prior years. I just assumed it was automatic with him before.

Didn’t he miss a few kicks near the end of last season, only to be totally clutch in the post season including the Super Bowl?

OK maybe that was 2022 but still.

DrunkBassGuitar 01-07-2025 02:48 PM

I think he's built up enough of a track record that we should be confident in him until we get good reason not to, and I don't think last week is a good reason to lose confidence at this point.

Harrison has never failed us in the playoffs. He'll be fine.

We good?

Massage his patella in evaporated milk.

suzzer99 01-19-2025 01:50 AM

You've all been diabolically lied to about Butker's imminent demise. He good.
