Colts on the clock

Coogs 03-14-2004 02:43 PM

Colts take Randy Starks DT Maryland.

I've got to run whoman. Give the Bengals the top OG on the board in the next round, and the Colts the top CB left.

chiefscafan 03-14-2004 02:44 PM

umm like clayton too

whoman69 03-14-2004 02:44 PM

Drum roll please, Chiefs are on the clock

chiefscafan 03-14-2004 02:45 PM

With the 30th pick KC selects Michael Clayton, WR, LSU.

Height: 6'4"

Weight: 190

40-Yard Dash: 4.45 seconds

Positives: Michael Clayton is an intelligent playmaker who has good height, quickness, agility, and straight-line speed. He has terrific hands, and makes spectacular catches. He's an explosive deep threat that can be physical when he needs to be.

He is also an outstanding blocker, possibly the best blocking receiver in the draft, and he has an outstanding work ethic. He is very competitive, and tough... a true team player.

Negatives: He has good size, but could stand to bulk up a little. Also needs to polish his route running a little.

Projection: Clayton is a tremendous playmaker and is among the best receivers in the draft. He should be a mid-to-late first-round pick.

chiefscafan 03-14-2004 02:46 PM

michael clayton please pick him or lee evans wow great if this is how it falls

chiefscafan 03-14-2004 02:47 PM

Last year I took Jerome McDougle in the first and Eugene Wilson in the 2nd. Which I still like a hell of a lot more than Johnson and Mitchell.

royr17 03-14-2004 02:48 PM

with the 31st pick in the 2004 nfl draft the carolina panthers select ...

CB Dunta Robinson from University of South Carolina

One thing that this is showing us is that the WRs are going to be logical picks in the first round. The only non-WR candidate I could've gone for would've been Dunta Robinson at CB.

Nice pick.

No. Dunta sounds like "Guinta" and "Robinson". Two names that have plagued our defense, and one that still does.

Bad karma if we picked that dude

chiefscafan 03-14-2004 02:51 PM

espn live at purdue stuart Schweigert's house he is elated i think an announcement is coming

with the 32nd and final pick of the nfl 2004 draft the detroit lions select from Purdue S Stuart Schweigert .

schweigert "I;m coming home!" the michigan native says!

I really considered Dunta Robinson. And then hoped for Evans, Jenkins, or Henderson to fall to the second.

I was seriously considering Starks as well until he went right before me.

And I was considering Antwan Odom.

But the value was at WR, imo. Clayton is a stud. He is a character guy. DV type profile.

whoman69 03-14-2004 02:56 PM

That concludes round one, round 2 is set to begin...

chiefscafan 03-14-2004 02:57 PM

Lions send out the jet for Vilma and Schweigert to be introduced to the detroit press

I just looked up our deal on the draft value chart of profootballweekly. http://www.nfldraftblitz.com/pick_value_chart.htm . By some odd coincidence, it was virtually an even trade - 855 points traded for 857 points.

Collins has played really well, imo, for NYG. He is fairly young and signed long term.

Terrible pick that fugged up my whole board. :banghead:

First off, Collins is 31, and in the last year of his deal, so I have read. Plus the Giants front office has a huge woody for this QB, we took the BAA

Heat of the moment. No offense. :toast:

I knew I would piss a few people off with that pick, but I have been posting at the NY Giants BB, and people wanter Gallery or Big Ben. The reason I went with Ben was I think Coughlin wants his own QB, and I thought I could still nab a solid OT at the start of round 2, or 3 if needed

You gotta be dumb as **** shitting in pot pie tins. Ever hear of a toilet. You still have no idea what you're even commenting on. You plucked a eight year old thread out which was seven years before you even joined. You have no clue at all.
